I hadn't really cared about any of this because I figured nothing will happen to Jim Tressel or Ohio State football. But after reading more of it...

The NCAA says Tressel "falsely attested" that he reported all knowledge of NCAA violations to the school.

So in other words, he lied to the NCAA. No different than what Pearl did and it sounded as though Tennessee was forced to fire Bruce unless they wanted the death penalty. Hopefully those are Ohio State's only options as well. Fire Tressel or get the death penalty. Fair is fair.

So a few questions.

It seems the NCAA is moving fast on this. How long before they announce sanctions?

What kind of sanctions will OSU receive if they fire Tressel before sanctions are handed down?

What kind of sanctions would they receive if they kept him?

they meet before the committee on infractions in August. So it's after Tennessee has to face the music

Among other things, they are similar because they made stupid decisions. If tressel uses a personal email, more than likely, nobody knows the coverup. He used his OSU appointed email instead.
