I used to get an occasional kick out of Sonny and Wimp. Of course, I used to get loaded and watch Fishing with Joe B. when I lived in Lexington so I may not be the best judge.

I don't know what that hgh school coach's motivation was for having this rule, but it can't be achieved by having the guys cut their hair.

I can't say that it's a dumb rule because I've never taken a braid to the eye covering a guy. If we are talking close braids like cornrows dumb rule if we are talking loose braids whipping around not so dumb.

Looks like that would be a personal hygiene issue as well. Who wants to go 2 months or ever how long with matted up, sweaty, full of crumbs dreads that u can't half ass wash. It seems a little nasty IMO.

I will tell a funny story about dreads though. when I use to work as a electrical foreman in a section 8 location redoing all their electrical i use to see people walking down the street smacking their heads. I thought they were crazy until one of my black employees looked at me crazy and laughed and said their not crazy, they have dreads and can't scratch their heads because it will mess up their dreads so they have to constantly pat their heads.

Very true, African American women pat their hair as well because if they scratch it will burn the next time they have a perm put in. I know because I have seen my sister mother cousins etc all do it lol
