Wasn't he involved in some type of recruiting violation and " The Barn" moved on with out him? Thought that there was a second position coach involved in that recruiting violation also.

Chances are he was a pretty good coach. Just saying.

Fact: When Trooper was the runningbacks coach, both Houston & Riggs got 1,000 yards in the same season.

Fact: When Trooper was the receivers coach, Meecham took a HUGE step forward as a receiver and got more than 1,000 his red shirt junior season and was a 1st round selection in the NFL.

He is definitely loved by the players, and has a lot of energy. I didn't see any towel waving, but he was whooping it up with the players.

It was a bonus to get his son as well. He's already making plays.

Meach took a huge step because he was finally healthy with a competent qb

he was a good coach and recruiter for us when he was here. I personally hated to see him leave.

Fact: He didn't have anything to do with Gault, Pickens, Price, and a whole slew of other recievers that were much better.

Fact: He didn't have anything to do with Garner, Henry, Stephens, Hardesty, Stewart, Webb, Lewis and they were all better than Riggs and/or Houston!
