True Blood

Just an awful show. I have no idea why I still watch it. It's like watching a car wreck, it's awful to see but I can't keep my eyes off it.

Honestly I think it's just the women that keep me watching this show. I'm in love with Anna Camp (sarah newlin), Jessica is just...... Jessica...... and I agree about Jason's new fling-girl. She was wearing that t-shirt like a champ.

Loved the color of that t-shirt! :whistling:

Only one more episode left.

I have skipped this season so far even though my wife still watches every episode. If I get bored one day I might catch up on this season.

Well, the whole "omg the Asians are gonna kill Sookie" plot line was wrapped up pretty fast. And then Sookie just ends up with random guy we don't know.

At least bill and his sad bill music are done.

Worst series finale ever. Wow I went in with low expections, but they even submarined that. Just awful.

To the true blood fans, what were you looking for to make this finale up to par? What'd they mess up on?

Thanks Chatt! So the only episodes I watched were the first and the finale. Good gosh, that was the worst finale I think I have ever seen. The only part I liked was the fast forward in time at the end.

Except they went forward a year, then to the following thanksgiving correct? Jason had 3 kids one of which was 6ish, and Sam's kid was around the same age. I'm no mathmagician, but that doesn't add up.

I think they said it was 3 years later when they showed the stock market and Christmas.

And if jason knocked her up immediately, his kid would only be a few months older than Sams.

Ah I gotcha. Admittedly I was half paying attention.

I didn't like it or hate it. More like meh. I'm glad they showed them to live happily ever after and live "normal" lives now.

That whole thing with Bill/Jessica/Hoyt about the marriage was just awkward and very out of place.

Another example of atrocious writing.

Can someone explain the gay love dream between Jason and Eric in the first episode? Was there any point to that? Or did they just feel this show didn't already have enough gay in it?

It made about as much sense as having ghost Tara for 4 episodes, ultimately leading them to a buried gun that was never used.

Everything. Bill killing himself slowly was just super stupid. Bill is going to kill himself to give Sookie a normal life yet he wants Jessica and Hoyt together so they can have an abnormal life, makes sense. Completely idiotic! Bill making the girl that loves him kill him? Why couldn't they write him to be a real vampire and walk into the sun like a man?

How about the whole idea of killing the one person you love the most in life only to send them off to be with someone they're never going to love nearly as much as you? They either should have healed him and let them be happily ever after with their adopted child or they should have turned her into a vampire fairy which would have been far more awesome.

Whatever though, the book series ended about as anticlimactic as the show just without the suicidal vampire. Spoiler alert for anyone that might want to read the books which were ultimately far better than the show.
Sookie just goes off and marries Sam in the book and that's pretty much it.

That whole marriage thing took place for Bill and nothing more really. Granting a voluntarily dying man his last wish.

The gay scene was something they would randomly do in the previous seasons of Trueblood, probably a shot out to the old ways of the show. It was a random shock and awe thing.

They did that so Tara could say goodbye to her mother and patch things up between them. Probably also so her mother could get closure and move on from drugs and alcohol.
