I'm trying to get into this show and its interesting the more and more I watch it....My fiance' loves it, but she is a big Twilight lover too so it kind of makes sense...The blood and biting of the neck is a big turn off for me lol...I don't know why I can stand watching Horror movies with all that blood and gore but there is just something about the biting of the nect and what not that gets me

BTW, sorry for bringing up such an old thread, just didn't want to start a new one..Seaarch feature works great

All I can say is that the "freak dial" has been turned to 11 for this season.

The orgy scene last week was insane.

My girl has been renting them from Blockbuster, the first season that is and I just don't know what it is....It's kind of like a bad train wreck, you want to look away but you just can't but it does get interesting at times...Is it just me or is some of the southern accents and some of the acting in it just plain bad?

yeah the accents are garbage at times, but I believe the actors playing Bill and Jason are british so I suppose they're doing their best. That doesn't explain Tara's accent though. IMO, the best acting in the entire first season was done by the gay cook.

I disagree with Mania - I'm enjoying season 2. It's doing what the Soprano's did - expanding into more story lines. Some are excellent, some are dull but overall it's good.

Did I mention the show is full of hotties?

I just picked up on True Blood last week. I am friends with most of the people that work at the local video rental. Heck, there are 4 of them that have all worked there for 20 years and none of them are over 45. Anyway, two of them were talking about True Blood last week when I went in. I asked them about it and they told me to try it out that they had the season 1 DVD's. So, I thought what the heck - its only $5 to rent 5 DVD's for 7 days.

My wife and I watched all 12 first season episodes in 3 days and now have since caught up with the 7 episodes of Season 2. I think its a great story so far - some of the episodes have plodded just a bit but the way they intertwine everyone's characters is great. You truly care about every single person in the town - one way or another.

Season 1 was very solid with a great storyline and so far this story in Season 2 is just as intriguing to us. Still trying to figure out how everyone plays into the equation. Some great actors as well - the guy that plays Lafayette is awesome. I wasn't so sure how much I'd like the series even after the first 3 episodes but then it seemed to click and I became very much interested in the story and all the other characters. I like how almost every episode ends in a cliffhanger so you want to see what's going to happen next.

My wife and I are both big fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and this just seems to be the natural progression and a "grown up" Buffy in some ways. Besides Dexter and Supernatural its the only series I feel compelled to watch now. I've been watching both of them from the start though and had to catch up fast with this one. I'd give it a solid 8/10 in my book.

I've been waiting for Jason to nail the church lady all season and when he does they don't show anything. Very sad.
