Actually, Carrols Hamburgers were 10 cents. McDonald’s opened catty corner across the intersection. Their hamburgers were 13 cents. Still, people flocked to McDonald’s. Mickie Ds was in the news, and the new place had a paved parking area, whereas Carrols had gravel. Pretty soon, Carrols closed.

My high school years in the 90's I remember going to McDonald's and those hamburgers was 25 cents would go get 4 and water for lunch.

This breaks my heart to read this, sorry I missed it when you posted it. I know the little ones are in a loving home and y’all will do a great job with them but sad to hear about their mom.
