Trump called Roseanne Barr to congratulate her on huge ratings success

So the party supposedly against hate speech resorts to hate speech, but it's okay because Trump is orange, not black, not Asian, not any type of minority. It's okay to hate white people? Is that what it is? That's not unity.

And the excuse is supposedly that's the level HE operates on so we have to sink to that level to combat him? Well that's silly for a number of reasons. First and foremost, you're making it seem he's acting on a different level than DC has seen in the past. That's an absolute falsehood. DC has been sludging around in the same mud for most of my life. Same tactics I've always seen. The narrative that they're new is just that, a narrative. And then you have the hypocrisy of Dems claiming they take the high road. How is "sinking" to his level taking the high road? In DC there seems to be only one road, and both parties use it. The high road is a fiction that sounds good, but no one in Washington has ever found it. It's a myth.

I'm of the opinion all politicians are bad. I don't buy into Trump's "drain the swamp" schtick. To me, he's another politician, no better, no worse than what's come before. I understand he's supposedly seen as an outsider simply because his road to the presidency was atypical of past Presidents, but to me, he acts like every other politician I've witnessed. Some will disagree, and that's fine, but I don't see Trump as a savior for the country. I also don't see him as the destroyer of our country. He's just another guy in office attempting to guide the country like other POTUSes before him. Eventually someone will takes his place and every one will choose a side on whether or not that President is good or bad for the country. It's the same story, over and over, so I don't really understand why everyone always gets their panties in a bunch.

He was the choice of the people. You don't have to like it, but at some point, you should accept it. Whether he serves one term or two, he'll eventually leave office and politics and the country will continue on, like they always have.

Advance apology for rambling. I'm in pain, so it's a bit harder to stay focused.

Too many things to list. Ever since the transplant, my liver seems like the only part of me that is healthy. Main complaint tonight is my back. Broke it last November and have had problems ever since.

Roseanne Barr back on Twitter after 'leaving,' blames 'Ambien tweeting' after ABC cancels hit show | Fox News

I'm sorry 4 my tweet, AND I will also defend myself as well as talk to my followers. so, go away if u don't like it. I will handle my sadness the way I want to. I'm tired of being attacked & belittled more than other comedians who have said worse.

I think you're just saying that to cover for your addiction to Friends reruns.

Dink is still waiting on the Beverly Hills 90210 reboot while looking longingly at his Tiffani Amber Thiessen poster on the wall.

(not that I blame him)

Planet of the Apes exists?

Calling a black person an ape vs calling an orange person an oompa loompa who became orange by sitting in a tanning bed.

Calling a black person an ape vs calling the president a racist because he purposefully sought out the racist portion of his voting bloc to get elected.

Calling a black person an ape vs calling the president a sexist because he treats women like chattel

Do you not see the difference?

I think it comes down to the basis of the criticism. Calling a black person an ape is targeting something over which they have no control. You don't get to choose your race. Calling Trump an Oompah-Loompah because he elects to utilize a bad spray tan is not criticizing his race. What could you call him that would be equivalent? Whitey? Cracker? Honky? Not sure there is an equally derogatory term for whites, honestly.

That said, I prefer to criticize others for their actions or inactions rather than using childish insults. The latter isn't productive.

Weezer, hope you're feeling better today.

Your first bolded statement. I disagree, he is saying and doing things we have never seen or heard from a POTUS.

2nd bolded statement. Again, I completely disagree. All politicians aren't bad and they certainly aren't all equally bad. IN MY OPINION, Trump is far worse and more harmful to our nation than any other politician in my lifetime.

If I shared your opinions I would feel much like you do. If you shared my opinions, I assume you would feel much like I do.

So I guess it boils down to just a difference of opinion regarding Trump.
