Trump called Roseanne Barr to congratulate her on huge ratings success

I’m just stating the hypocrisy with anything that’s vicious or abhorrent in any anti Trump capacity.

Being that Roseanne was a Trump supporter, it’s taken it to the 100x mass hysteria.

What she tweeted was wrong. I don’t agree that it was proper, even if it was a joke. They had to fire her, or ABC would have gotten evicirated. It’s too bad for everyone all the way around.

Long before politics was an issue with her I just didnt get it. Never found her show to be funny, at all. It seemed like the running joke was just look how miserable our lives are. Just not funny.

And to prove my point, same with Kathy Griffin. Just not funny.

Gotcha. I appreciate the answer

Cool.

Just like the alledged ‘Sh!thole’ comment.
Lol like all those outraged that sail by on their cruise ships etc are sooo offended because of all their Habitat for Humanity work...my point is the Trump derangement.

Again, Roseanne was foolish to tweet that.

People complaining about supposed hypocrisy by ABC, are y’all ok with what she said?

No it was dumb and a fireable offense. I expect people on either side of the aisle to be held to the same standard. I don’t think Disney has done that with Barr, Jemele Hill and now hiring Keith Olbermann.

Viva Rosanne Barr! Leftist Valerie Jarrett is a strange looking female. Rosanne just told the truth.

Screw Disney/ABC/ESPN. They just hired Far Left Keith Olbermann, who called President Trump a NAZI.

Disney/ABC/ESPN has now said that there are no rules when it comes to FAR LEFT politics. The rules only apply to conservatives who criticize Leftists.

Truthfully now, when was the last funny show on network TV? Big Bang Theory is the only sitcom we watch now, or really any network show. Beyond that maybe 2 1/2 men?

Do you even realize how stupid this sounds? Making fun of public figures is basically a time honored American pastime.

Making racist comments... not so much.

It’s roseanne.... she always tries to stoke controversy.... no one or thing is off limits.... it’s who she is

And yet no one is calling for Olbermann to be fired or any of those loud mouths on The View

Rudy Giuliani booed at Yankee Stadium on his 75th birthday. They use to cheer him there. Two hard core New Yorkers now among the most unpopular in New York.

I loved BBT when it first came on and did for a number of years. But it long ago jumped the shark, imo, when it changed the focus from Sheldon's eccentricities and Penny's hotness to Malik what's-her-name and to Wallowitz when it wasn't Sheldon related.

Have you watched Young Sheldon? Pretty funny. I think the actress playing the sister has some very clever lines throughout, they've done a good job with her character.

Modern Family used to be really good, too. Now. the kids have gotten too old to be funny.

Blackish was good, but I cannot seem to find a consistent day/time for it. It just sort of pops up here and there.

Over on HBO, there have been some good ones. Flight of the Conchords was great. Silicon Valley was too, until they lost the stoner character. Now its crap.

That's just a really stupid comment by you. Not much else to say.

I’m sure he’s said some things that are awful and HBO should look at. Take it up with them

Now, are you cool with what Roseanne said? Do you think that ABC should have done nothing and just let it go?

If you were going to hire her in the first place.... why not keep her..... she did this type of stuff before being hired and will continue now that her show is finished

You are truly a Trump supporter.

Haven't watched Young Sheldon nor any of the others. It seems to me that network TV just recycles old ideas with terrible writing. I used to watch NCIS until I was watching just to root for Gibbs to be killed.

I agree.... never understood why people liked either of them

Have never seen any of them.

I would say she is pretty much the poster child for the basket of deplorables.

5 years ago, she was a member of the Green Party. She's just a straight up publicity seeking nut.

Whether or not she meant them to be so(she claims she didn't), Roseanne's comments were abhorrently racist.

Not defending her actions in the least, but here's my question. The comments were from her twitter. By firing her for said comment, is ABC impeding her First Amendment right of free speech? I know the typical left response will probably be along the lines of suggesting I'm condoning her words. I'm not. It's really a simple question. Does free speech only apply when the person speaking is saying things you agree with? What are the actual limits you set on free speech?

And twisting this around to something a little different, like I said, she did this on twitter, not while on the job. And yet most people feel ABC is well within their rights to cancel her show. Contrast that with NFL players acting out while on the job but certain people feel punishing them would infringe upon their right to protest. Seems like "rights" are being selectively defended.

My personal opinion, genuine racism is abhorrent. I in no way support it, though I'm sure some will suggest I do. You can look at this simply, or you can look at the actual complexities involved. When it comes to "rights", who gets to draw the lines?

So if she had only said it during one of her comedy acts? She should have been smarter.

Negative comments and criticism of Trump are in response to something inappropriate and/or offensive he's said
99.999999999999999999999% of the time. Her comments were preemptive hate speech
