Trump Fires TVA Chairman!

There's not a "chairman" in the world that can eat it and make me feel bad.

Seems like a good decision.

Cool, maybe the new chairman will reinstate the Green Power Providers program.
Maybe we can have those ugly ass windmills that ruin the landscape in the west here in the southeast? Perhaps add in a few solar farms for good measure?

Trust me, nobody would see my solar panels. If someone has a problem with them, its not because of aesthetics.

I guess I don't understand the process- Trump appointed him, fired him and then told the board to replace him?

Have you driven out west? I don't care about your solar panels, I have a few on my motorhome, but those nasty ass things that scar the landscape in the west are repulsive.

It's been a while. I guess it could be an eyesore.

Most of the people that are complaining about the TVA suspending the program are more upset that larger producers are still able to strike a deal, but homeowners producing for themselves and their communities are cut out.

Jeff Lyash is president and chief executive officer of the Tennessee Valley Authority. Appointed by the Board of Directors in February 2019.

Lyash worked up through plant management at the Brunswick Nuclear Plant in North Carolina, then rose in executive ranks at utilities in the Southeast.

The Toronto Star reported Lyash made $1.5 million per year in 2015 at Ontario Power, making him the highest-paid government employee in the province.

He’ll make much more than that at TVA, though he won’t equal outgoing president and CEO Johnson.

Johnson, 65, has been TVA president and CEO since November 2012. At $8.1 million in total annual compensation, he’s the highest-paid federal employee. Johnson is potentially eligible for a $12.8 million payout on his departure.

TVA used the McAulay Smith executive search firm, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, to find candidates, Howorth said Thursday. That’s the same firm which brought in Johnson, who is from North Carolina.

Solar/Wind program. It was suspended for "environmental studies" .

Basically the program paid for the power you produce from your solar array that is being fed into the grid.
They still pay for power you produce. I just went to the website. It's called Dispersed Power Production Program.
