By whom? Are you trying to say there is a completely objective way to decide harassment and there is no subjectivity to the question of harassment? What are you saying?

So Twitter has to wait for the courts to adjudicate any questions of harassment before censoring/banning anyone? Of course not. The only real solution is to leave it in the hands of Twitter to make that judgment call.

Your ideas, as you've explained them, do not work.

Do you even know what the harassment laws are? They don't begin to approach what Facebook, Volnation, and other platforms are trying to avoid. Even if there were a reasonable way to carry this out, the legal definition is not a good fit for what we want in social media.

If FB, Twitter and Google had fawned over Trump for 4 years and done everything they could to silence and ban Biden supporters would you feel the same?

I wouldn't advocate banning you though. I'd treat it the same as a town square. I have an opinion to ignore all of your posts as well.

Say twitter banned anyone who spoke against pedophilia. Still good with them? Or if Biden was banned, supporters of Russian collusion were banned, etc. We still pounding the table like this when the app you looked toward was then removed from Amazon servers?

But we aren't talking about what you would advocate in this scenario. We're talking about your government solutions to the problem.

What are you talking about? I'm not good with twitter in real life, forget about some of these hypotheticals. How I feel about them is not the proper consideration. The proper consideration is how can we fix this issue without creating more problems or violating rights, and I have yet to find the solution.

Maybe explore the sale of data? I agree it's not clear on the fix but both sides don't agree on the problem so the rest of us are left holding a ****** bag.

That’s incorrect. I don’t lean Republican. What I’ve said is that Biden was the first Democrat I’ve voted for in an election for a federal office. I voted straight ticket Republican until voting for Gary Johnson in 2016. Even then I had disagreements with the politics, I just saw the two as being mostly equivalent and thought the Republican platform was a better way to run a large country.

My values have shifted some, but mostly the party just lots it’s damn mind. At this point, I’d vote for a moderate Democrat or moderate Republican before voting third party, but I would throw away a vote for a third party before voting for a “woke” democrat or a Trump republican.

And, to be honest, I don’t usually read the threads about Biden and I’d be hard pressed to even name one that’s on the front page. Partly, I expect to disagree with him on a lot of the things I consider to be matters of prudence and just accept that it is what it is. Mostly, I don’t much care what most people here think about him. Trumpkins drew their line at “not prosecuted.” No matter what Trump did, no matter how corrupt or imprudent, you guys said you didn’t care as long as he wasn’t criminally prosecuted for it. If Biden gets convicted of a crime while in office, I’ll read the thread.

I just find it incoherent in your past posts. Always demenaing Trump, sure no problem, such as your "conservative" self, but NEVER find time to criticize this abomination of an administration that is MUCH more antetitheis to your "values"

Conservative meaning individual liberty, value of human life (although not a hardcore anti-abortionist), limited government, fiscal responsibility, capitalism, personal responsibility, personal integrity/credibility etc.

The present Republican Party does not represent any of those principles in the way that I feel they ought to although until recently I thought they were ok. The last few years I’ve been claiming libertarian although that’s not exactly it, either.

Mostly, I’m put off by tribal partisanship that requires people to sell out their principles to stay on the team. I try to be balanced but I seem to be exposed to more of it from the right, so I probably react to that more strongly. I believe in applying free market remedies to these problems, which is why I’m especially critical of people like Charlie Kirk, Michael Avenatti, and Jakob Wohl who basically just throw **** at the wall and let confirmation bias do what it does.

Policy wise, I mostly liked Trump. Some differences. But all in all, I wasn't disappointed. He's a salesman so I didn't get all hot and bothered by his hyperbole like LG who blew out his butt hole a(nnu)ally.
