Don't forget this is exactly what they wanted, a DC outsider to champion partisan politics. Legal FISA investigation into Carter Page vs. Shadow government investigation into a political rival without even a shred of probable cause. It's not OK for the FBI to use unverified information as a predicate to investigate someone vs. We will accommodate Rudy's dossier.
That in and of itself would certainly be a fabulous trait for a POTUS putting America first. It’s unconscionable that the party of enlightenment and intelligence allows a cretin to control their every whim. It’s almost like Trump trolls them on purpose.......

The US intelligence community has been abject failures since WWIIHe wasn't taking Putin's word over the intelligence community's only on the specifics of the server hack. It was a general comment about election interference. The server hack tangent was just an after the fact attempted cover.
If there is karma or cosmic justice, I would be so far back in line that I would never even make it to the barrel. Trump and company would be occupying the primo above barrel positions well into the foreseeable future.
I didn’t read past your first couple of comments.Retributive acts are never a good look.
The authoritarianism and fascism are getting a bit thick in here. I've been gently pointing it out for a while, but it's time to make myself clearly the enemy: the ridiculous demands, implicit and explicit, by many posters here to unwaveringly support the President of the United States without question, thought, or disagreement; the constant name-calling, insulting, denigrating, derogatorily labeling, slinging epithets, ostracizing, and other markedly and intentionally negative behaviors; and the demands to keep a fundamentalist level of political doctrine purity in order to gain entrance to or remain part of a tightly confined in-group that claims to represent the majority of a specific political faction are all signs of an extremely sick and maligned world view that mirrors that of the loyal supporters of governments responsible for some of the worst atrocities of the modern era. You're better than that, and you know it.
You cannot, with any sense of self-respect, truthfully tell us that lifelong public servants and military service personnel with distinguished records under Presidents of both parties would suddenly develop such a strong case of TDS that they would lie under oath and under penalty of perjury with the shame, punishment, and career-ending stigma that come with such a conviction.
But, oh, the jollies that are being had tonight at their expense because they've not only been sacked in retribution, they've been drug through the mud, too. So good! God bless America, they got what they deserved! Yeehaw! MAGA!
It's going to be a nice, long Mardi Gras for a lot of people here as the parade of revenge continues, and we're all going to be worse off for it. And it saddens me that there aren't more people here willing to stand up, risk taking a fist to their online face, and call out behavior that is not only flat-out childish but pernicious and mentally and spiritually poisonous. And the record of it slowly steamrolling is right there in the backpages of the subforum. Mounds of data.
And yeah, I thought about the responses before I hit post. The accusations that I'm just trying to pretend to be high and mighty and better than everyone else. The assumptions (or "I don't have to assume, I know") that I'm just another week liddle' liberal snowflake cuck or another TDS victim who just thinks Orange Man Bad. The Whataboutism and redirection. The pointing out of my flaws and digging up old posts to make it even easier to Cancel me.
I don't care. I felt a burden to say something, I prayed about it, I typed it and sat on it. Whatever happens, happens.
Too many of you are better than this. I would hope all of you are. There's got to be a point where you realize that just because there's a little more silver in your bag at payday doesn't mean free reign to sacrifice anyone who disagrees with the Party. I wouldn't have said this if I hadn't been given a stirring of hope as well.
My God, we're a broken nation; please heal us.

Losing an election to Trump, Russian collusion, a failed impeachment for completely political reasons , screwing up their own primary in Iowa, attacking people over a hat....I'm sorry, but the Dems currently have him beat. The best I can give you is he's running second, but I'm not entirely sure that's true.
Honestly, if I were you, or luther, or Mick, or EL, or any other poster that sides with the Dems, I'd be concerned about the state of my chosen party. Your leaders are failing you, and none of your candidates for the 2020 Presidential election stand out as strong. Your party is in disarray, and they continue to display behavior that they attribute to Trump. And no one with common sense buys luther's idea that it's okay to sink to a level of behavior you condemn because Trump. It still displays a hypocritical behavior that people clearly see.
I've gotten to the point where it doesn't really matter what party controls the WH, because Congress is more likely to stymy them than not. But if you want a Dem President, you need to hope your party comes to its senses at some point. I'm not sure how you guys don't see they're off the rails at this point. I'm guessing you just choose not to see. But the first step to fixing a problem is admitting there's a problem, and the Dems have yet to do that. You need to stop believing the hype machine and take a closer look at reality.
Point 3, the Dems really need to stop with this idea of it being someone's "turn". Personally, I think that hurt them in 2016 with it being Hillary's "turn".
The problem with Bloomberg is he didn't jump in at the beginning. If he were to somehow get the Dem nom now, it absolutely looks like he bought his way in. I think that would disillusion a lot of people.
JMO, but the Dems need to put work in finding an actual viable candidate for 2024. I think by focusing on an impeachment that was always doomed to fail, they hurt themselves by not finding such a candidate for 2020. And who knows, the economy may have prevented anyone from beating Trump, but the Dema have done themselves no favors with the strategy they chose.
I've watched the interview. He kowtowed to Putin at the expense of his own intelligence agencies for the whole world to see.
There is no way to twist that reality, no matter how hard Trump and his enablers have tried.
His ways of putting Americans first amounts to a more divided, bitter, sad, and dumber country;...........but Trump has never been known for properly aligned priorities.
I always find it silly to accept foreign countries interfering in our elections just because we have done it to others. Would you be fine with other countries attacking us just because we attacked someone? If it's 'kowtowing' to Putin you object to, you were glad to see Obama leave office, right?
Frankly, Russian influence campaigns are of less concern to me than if they'd actually tried to change or obscure the votes that were cast. It's simply a fact of life that we meddle in elections and some meddle in ours. In fact, our intel found - as anyone paying attention could figure out - their interference was not to elect a certain candidate but not to have Clinton elected, due to U.S. meddling while she was SoS and impugned the validity of Putin's election.
The only people who are dumber are those who refuse to see the corruption of unelected bureaucrats' attempts to influence our election, then remove an elected president. They're dumber for not valuing liberty more than they hate Trump. Dumber people try to convince us that lower taxes, decreased regulation, securing better trade deals, and historically low unemployment for EVERYone - including minorities - isn't fooking awesome. They also, apparently, find discomfort in not having a new war to fight during Trump's term, even as they proclaim "WWIII!!!" because Trump isn't following the slow walk path to nuclear certainty with NK and Iran, nor being "flexible" with Russia. They choke on their proclamations regarding the China trade war as it's shoved back down their throat.
There hasn't been a better time to need a job in probably your lifetime.
Their candidates are stepping on each other's heads in an effort to be an even better socialist. Of the two leaders, one - the man-child - says killing a guy who's killed hundreds of Americans and allied soldiers, wounded thousands - not to mention the civilian population - is a bad thing "if you don't know what you're doing" - ? Really.
The other leading candidate is an actual life-long, hard-line socialist, not the fluffy kind who confuses socialism with high taxes and social spending culled from a market system. He's a Chavista, an economy & liberty destroying, constitution burning Marxist.
Behind that, more old white people in their late 70's who think they're still living in that decade, who capitalized on faux NAmerican heritage, think China is not a threat, call constituents liars and challenge them to push-up contests, and whose family members acquire sudden wealth when they became VP, and says there are at least three genders.
And that's just the good stuff.
It's not acceptable behavior. Obama should have done more to prevent it, but chose not to. I think that's part of the reason some are so dismissive of it. Obama made strong statements about how the election couldn't be hacked after Trump brought it up. Then when Hillary lost, it became all about how Russia interfered with the election.I always find it silly to accept foreign countries interfering in our elections just because we have done it to others. Would you be fine with other countries attacking us just because we attacked someone?
Your willingness to accept it because it hurt Hillary and helping Trump is so transparent.
