Trump on the Joe Rogan Podcast

It is. And it was apparently done with some significant circumstances.

You're getting your panties in a big twist over this...or at least it seems that way.

I don't understand it at all.

PS. I addressed in another post that no one seems to know where the two camps are wrt a remote interview.

I'm annoyed with 50 people making the same point over and over "Rogan doesn't do this"

Got it. He can and should seems like a reasonable position.

Thanks.

Maybe he should. But he seems to be doing really well with his current methodology.

Have you tried tweeting him to encourage him to go out of studio? (I'm totally serious with that question. Sometimes people are too close to the situation to assess opportunities objectively.)

Why should he change is show for Harris? Look what she did to Brett Bauer... Showing up late, ending early.. It's his show his choice... Of she really wanted to she would and if he wanted to he would... Obviously neither wants to give an inch.. It's a not point... No one thought she would do it any way

What does that have to do with anything? It's like saying to a hunter you shouldn't go get a tiger because you already got a lion, and deer and antelope come to you frequently.

analogy jumped the shark, my friend.

Does the hunter want a tiger?
Does the hunter need to appease his fans with a tiger?
Has the hunter been successful at having every other animal he wanted to hunt brought to his hunting preserve and if so, why would he want to go through the trouble and expense of travelling to the tiger?

This is circular. I still don't understand why you're so committed to this perspective.

I don't think she should do a 1 hr interview with him, let alone 3 hrs.

It seems everybody is missing the point of my position. Her agreeing to do 1 hr is surprising. I think he should meet her halfway on this. At least call her bluff, since y'all are 100% certain she absolutely knows he wouldn't do a pod outside his studio. All he has to do is say, "Yeah, I'll do it." and then she backs out, looks like a fool, he looks awesome. But no. For some reason that's not what's happening, and I can't understand it. I can't understand why a podcast host wouldn't interview the VP and D presidential candidate outside his studio. He has rules? OK, who ****ing cares. Rogan knows better than anybody rules are made to be broken. It makes absolutely no sense.
What is your point in all this? That it doesn't make sense? Why is "because I don't let my guests dictate the terms of the interview" not an acceptable reason? Why does it not make sense? Do you have some theory you're angling towards?

Only true if you have an interest in hunting a tiger. You keep saying he should when he's made it clear throughout his entire career that he had no interest in doing so. He's pretty successful using his own guidelines

FTR, I don't even care about the interview. I wouldn't listen to it. The reason this is a conversation is somebody said Harris is only agreeing to the hr because she knows Rogan wouldn't bend his rules for her. My position is "how can she know he wouldn't make an exception when he's a hunter and she's a tiger?" Everybody is arguing with me, but I don't think a lot of them know that's what they're arguing about. I think you all think this argument is about who the onus is on to make the concession.

Exhibit A. PJ is arguing about who ought to make the concession. My position is that she doesn't know for sure that Rogan wouldn't make a concession.

Trump and Harris face two completely different realities. She can't say whatever she wants. Of course she's hesitant to do interviews. If she said she was gonna send legal Haitians to Venezuela over getting duped by fake news, she would be treated like an adult and feel the fire. Trump gets treated like he's a clueless little 4 YO who doesn't even know what he's saying.
On 60 minutes Harris spouted out a ridiculous answer and they went back and edited it out and let her re answer. (After she was told what to say im sure) The problem was some imbecile released the original footage by mistake so you can go back and hear what she actually said 1st. She’s hesitant to do interviews because she’s not smart. It’s that simple.

I agree with the first couple of sentences. People are ascribing meaning and trying to interpret in the blind with the "news" there was a potential interview on the table.

I don't think PJ is making that point at all.

Again, she shouldn't do the Rogan interview. She's hesitant to do a 3 hr interview for good reason. You guys still don't know what my position is. I have some fault in that, but JFC.

Another interesting aspect to this: during the Trump episode, he said that the moment he knew he had to have Trump on the show was when Trump survived the assassination attempt. He wasn't going to interview Trump until something absolutely insane happened to him. Kamala just isn't that interesting. Why would he want her as a guest. Looks to me like he just offered her an interview to attempt to give equal time to Trump's opponent for the optics of trying not to appear biased. But he probably doesn't have the same "gotta get this interview" moment with Kamala. That's why he's not willing to move heaven and earth for the interview. He got the interview he wanted. The ancillary interview isn't worth bending over backwards for.

Where did I do that? I simply called out your ridiculous tiger hunting example and reiterated that he has repeated his thoughts on interviews that have been consistent for years. You didn't seem to know them

You think of all the people in the world that Kamala is the one where he breaks his standards?

Rogan always says he interviews people he finds interesting and really wants to sit with. Maybe she just doesn't ride to that level

In context, she really isn't able to do a 3 minute interview. Logically speaking she should have hid in the basement in July like I said.

IDK, my bad. I got confused conversing with 3 people on this simultaneously.

You don't seem to have a position? What are you angling at? Nobody seems to understand what you're saying. There's only one central node in this web of confusion. You.

Seems incentive for the new Potato to go on the show, no? Let's be honest, there is something seriously wrong with her? No? She can't reasonable speak for more than a minute.

The only question Rogan would have to ask first is, "Who is actually running the country?"

She's not even a robot, its like a completely broken down machine.

Huh

I think there's some kind of "Why wouldn't a interview guy want to interview the VP/PC even if on her terms?". If presented to a pure journalist that's a fair question. Rogan isn't that and as best I can tell doesn't give a tinker's damn about being viewed that way and even less about jumping through those hoops expected for people that do. He is in a pretty unique position to actually not care. If he doesn't want to he's not and he'd probably find it funny that anyone would think should for...reasons.

They simply think the appearance of her wanting to do the interview will gain some type of points. It doesn't. They should have hid her in the basement in July and she would be doing much better.

Rogan doesn't need any of these people.

At this point, I think listening to Harris for 3 hours would be worse than Biden. 😂
