It was a movie with a balanced, mostly historically accurate perspective. We wont see **** like this again in today's woke culture.

Ftr, hated to see sam elliot endorse joe biden. He had a great performance in gettysburg as john buford.

It’s entirely possible that the cops on the outside didn’t know that Congressmen were holed up at the end of that hall. It seemed to me with the defensive positions that were being taken on the other side of that door and the warnings they were giving that they intended to make sure no one made it into that hallway. The guys on the rioters side of the door seemed disjointed - coming and going, almost like they weren’t sure what they were supposed to be doing.

I really don’t think most of the mob had an actual plan once they got inside other than to be disruptive. They had to be pretty shocked that they got as far as they did.

You are right. Many had no plan. They looked like tourists. Some saw opportunity for mischief. Sit in a seat, steal a sign.

But some came to take names and kick ass. Whether that be the guys with zip ties and tactical gear. Or, in this case, these protestors turned rioting mob saw the Congressmen being taken down that hall thrhkugh the barricades door. And they wanted them. They told the cops initially guarding the door that more of people like them were coming and they didn’t want to hurt them. “You aren’t who we came for. Just go home. Get out of the way.” They were pounding that door and glass because they knew the Congressmen were holed up down that hall. Those particular rioters might not have entered the capitol with a plan. But it seems they discovered one. And one of them died because of it.

The thought of being on that battlefield where 160,000 soldiers walked before is an awesome experience. Seeing the location and terrain of Little Round Top, Seminary Ridge, Cemetery Ridge, Culp's Hill, the Peach Orchard, etc. was incredible.

I'm not a Democrat. I'm not registered with any party. I consider myself a liberal. As far as guns go, I don't think you need heavy ordinance like a tank or grenade launcher. But otherwise, jump through the hoops and go for it.

Sure you should be able to own guns. I have shotguns. But why do you need an AR-15 or high capacity magazines. Do you have exceptionally tough squirrels and deer in your area?
