I feel you my man, my hope is that air continues to be free and that bullets are still sold over the internet. I just know the libtards are looking to change this. Fight the Q fight my brotha.

To be clear. Do you agree, as written, with the AOC plan?

I do not support Trump doing this but it's been done something like 60 times already for all sorts of stuff.

Why don't you support it, if you don't mind me asking?

Because it's a BS way to get funding and it doesn't meet the standard for "Emergency".

Just another executive power grab. The last 2 POTI expanded the power of the Executive Branch and this would keep that trend alive.

Of course Congress could stop being a whiny bisch and do their job and actually allocate the needed monies and this wouldn't be an issue and they'd maintain the current power balance.

Bad moves all around.

If the President wants to declare a National Emergency he should start with the debt and work down to lesser problems.

I don't agree that congress should give him the funds outside the scope of what has been considered essential, historically. As you say, it's not an emergency. Every time he has pushed for more, his "wall' has gotten that much smaller. Trump oversold, not Congress.. so it's on him to double down on stupid, apparently.

I believe the concept of the wall was created by his campaign to keep him on message about immigration. So, yeah anyone who might pretend he has no choice but declare an emergency is just buying into his BS.

I dare them.

I don't know. I would love to see the CDC receive the funding it's requested over and over and over to study gun violence. A study alone doesn't violate 2A, yet the ammoidolators keep shutting it down for some reason.

I don't say "ammoidolators" lightly. I am very Pro2A and support constitutional carry, but there are wackos out there who trigger every bit as easily as the control freaks.

RE the funds:

1. Border Patrol and DHS have said more barriers are essential to help solve the problem. They are the experts (or at least more expert than Congress).
2. Dems have in the recent pass supported much more spending on barriers. As you suggest if the "wall" is a campaign issue then Dems are willfully ignoring experts and what they supported recently to prevent Trump from getting some political benefits.

Congress is acting poorly and if Trump does the Emergency thing then he is acting poorly. Neither are being responsible and there's no justification for the actions of either.

I'd support a study if they looked into the root causes of violence itself. Studying "gun-violence" is useless.

I'll make a wager with you if it ever comes to that. I'd predict 75% of violence stems from wanting what someone else has (money, power, influence, territory, sex, etc) and the other 25% is just plain batshit Looney idiots with a screw loose.

Not the angle he is getting at. And his angle, is indeed worth studying but it won’t happen.

And this is why the CDC doesn't need money to study gun violence.

I respect your opinions, but why does the Congress not doing their job preclude the President from doing his job?
