I think he knows his political career is over. He is just running a campaign for the money and attention he can make off of it. And if it keeps him out of jail, all the better.

Below is an episode from February, shortly after Russia's escalation of the war in the Ukraine took place.






Perhaps it's an offshoot of the Mueller probe, and bitterness over the collusion allegations, but Tucker Carlson clearly has Russian sympathies. He seems to think that Russian success in the Ukraine, as well as success in overcoming sanctions imposed as a consequence of Russia's escalation of the war, is only damaging to Democrats. Whenever Russia has had a military setback in the Ukraine (and there have been many of them in the last 9 months), Carlson doesn't discuss it. He is a Russian cheerleader.

Cause I believe REAL Republicans, even when I hate a position they hold, are in general people of intelligence and integrity. At least Trumpie, the con, is overtly showing his real colors. The best part of this is the MAGAs (or former MAGAs at this point) claiming this is the straw that broke the camel's back and they are ready to move on now because Trump has changed.

Trump hasn't changed, he's the same grifter he always was. You're just gullible and slow if this is your first moment of clarity.

No - MAGAs still want to make America great again, they are just beginning to think there are better options than Trump to get there.

Trump was always the means, not the end. When you look at a party filled with Mitch McConnel's you can see why so many put up with so much just for someone who was actually willing to FIGHT and not roll over.

If my accurate description of many MAGAs' reaction to this cluster**** doesn't apply to you, don't worry about it. But it's real, and trying to explain it away is copium.

I don't think anybody advises him...

I heard a political analyst that covered both Trump's and Biden's campaigns predict a Biden victory way before the election.

When the interviewer asked him why he thinks Biden will win he said "both camps are telling their candidates to stay out of the media and keep his mouth shut but only one candidate is listening"

Oh, there is definitely a cult of personality problem here and simple people get caught up in leader worship. Just pointing out the the MAGA movement is much greater than the man.

What are the core principles of this "movement?"

1) A non-interventionist approach to foreign policy, including being anti-NATO?
2) An expansionary fiscal policy, even during the midst of a growing economy, with the nation at full employment?
3) Policies which promote energy independence?
4) Aggressive election denialism, whenever confronted with defeat, even if the facts don't support the case for fraud?
5) Staunch defense of the 2nd Amendment, including opposition to background checks?

The only two items which are different than any other Republican President are #1 and #4 ... and is #4 really such a good thing for the country?
