Yes Trump said he'd be happy to own the shutdown for border security.

In the process he is going to own the liberal democrats.

Imagine the reaction from people who voted for Trump because he promised to build the wall.

I still think two rows of razor wire with a minefield in between is a much better bang for the buck. Of course with sensors to detect tunnels being dug. For existing tunnels, mess with their minds; let them bring a load or two through. then mine the tunnel so it blows up with them in it. It tends to make people skittish about going into a tunnel that may blow up when they trigger a booby trap. For a fence with sensors that's too remote for a border patrol to reach in time, there's always the ability for remotely detonated Claymore mines. There's nothing really difficult about securing a border; it just takes the will, some ingenuity, and deafness to the human rights/PC crowd. There's deterrent factor, too, when word gets around that you actually mean business, people tend to listen better.

So you're for more border agents, technology, guard towers, and judges to kick them back quicker.

We will work on all of that as soon as the wall goes up. Once it's up you won't need extra border agents or judges which will save us money. 👍🏻

Nobody looks good in this scenario. Trump comes out looking really bad. Mexico is going to pay for it, but I will shut down the government unless you allow me to force US tax payers to pay for it.

Not sure how you guys think that is owning anyone.

Do you think that the Democrats helped themselves or hurt themselves as a result of the Oval Office meeting?

Who was damaged more? Trump or Nancy & Chuck?

Pretty simple actually.

It exposes the hypocrisy of how they support something only when it's a political win for them. It's not about doing what is right. It's about politics.

Trump is doing what he promised.

Anyone with common sense understands that was hyperbole.

The people that voted for Trump know that he meant through better trade deals resulting in more jobs (tax revenue) in the US.

To all that have asked. Trump looks worse.

He promised Mexico would pay now he is trying to force the American tax payer to pay for something which a large majority are against.

The Democrats looked petty. Trump looks like a lying child.
