Trump vs Pelosi and Schumer

I just wish it was a shutdown and not a paid vacation.

If it happens, it won't happen for long - I don't think either side wants the John Q Taxpayer to see that the sun will still rise without Washington firing on all cylinders.

Gridlock is good.

It would certainly deter some.

Jail the employers of illegals.

Legislating that won't cost $5,000,000,000.

If anyone works for the government "Easy Savings Act", go on record now.

To amend title 5, United States Code, to enhance the authority under which Federal agencies may pay cash awards to employees for making cost saving disclosures, and for other purposes.

I don't think one has to be particularly intelligent to comprehend that humans (including Mexican's) can run, swim and jump - over, under and around a wall. The human spirit is an amazing thing and where there's a will there's a way.

You've bought the narrative of the security theater border wall, no one is going to change your mind that it'll be effective - but it's too costly of an undertaking on the American taxpayer to laugh at you when it fails.

My comment was in general not specifically regarding the wall.

You nearly always have a dissenting opinion regardless of the topic and generally come across as an arrogant know it all.

You usually seem to try to turn someone else's opinion into a punchline. It's tired.

Our discussion was specific to the wall so it's an odd dodge to claim your followup was "in general" .

This is the political forum, everyone's opinions are open for ridicule, including mine. There are plenty of dissenting opinions on both sides.

Stay in your safe space q thread if the rest of the PF is too much for you to handle.

With Trump as the leader of the right, I am surprised you have the balls to say anything about temper tantrums. Trump throws them on a daily basis.

To be clear I don't like Trump - never have and almost certainly never will. However, Trump has pretty much been the only person in office who is willing to take an anti-PC stance, so I'll put up with all his nonsense as long as he keeps keeps the PC activists spinning. Now if you want the rest (at least a start), he's a fool, an opportunist, an incredibly poor speaker (third rate, third grade Cali valley girl comes to mind), has no filter between brain and mouth; but with all that (and more), that refugee from a rowdy kindergarten classroom is still light years beyond liberal lunatics in addressing the important stuff. The other point - he wasn't Hiliarly, and it's been decades since the Dim party managed to even propose someone more qualified for office ... even as dog catcher, and that's saying a lot considering Reps have set the bar so low.

That and make it a jailable offense to hire an illegal and change our birthright citizenship rules to require at least 1 parent be a citizen.

You will never change corporate behavior unless you are actually willing to hold individuals accountable and lock them up on a consistent basis. I'm willing to bet a lot of data breeches would get cleaned up if people at the top of the corporate ladder were held accountable for the losses and then jailed for being incompetent.

You do you. Idgaf

Wait, aren't you one of the voices that says we have too many people in jail in this country as it is?

You're right, I think I said that in the same thread where you stated you wanted HRC to turn your face into a glazed donut.

Because a 540 mile wall is easily circumventable.

It's a $5,000,000,000 piece of wedge issue security theater that the red hats have been duped into believing is the only option. Just imagine what kind of E-verify system could be built with say ten million?
An E-verify system can keep thousands from crossing a border that has no fence?? Holy hell how did you not win the Nobel Peace prize with this idea??

There's sensors they can use to alert any jumping or digging at the wall. Walk up to Area 51s fence and see how long before someones there in an SUV watching you.

Well. One that works, yes.

So explain how this "e-verify" system would work for an illegal crossing our border "illegally"? Would they have to stop at an ATM style machine and enter their credentials and wait for ICE to come and pick them up if they were illegal?

You weren't reading between the lines. I've already stated that a reliable E-verify system and jailing the employers who hire illegals would have them going back to Mexico so fast that Mexico may want to build the wall after all. Cut the head off the snake, disincentivize, it starts with a reliable e-verify program.

Why not just use sensors then?
There's some areas that already have them installed. The biggest con with sensors is trying to get to one that may be 30 minutes drive from the closest Border security agents would be my guess. A wall plus the sensor would allow the agents to close in on them quicker before they disappear on our side.

Is it not possible to do both?

That is, to be anti PC but also not a jackass conman and a fraudster? To me, being anti PC is simply not worth the price of Trump's mal and misfeasance in office.
