Trump wanted to be added to Mt. Rushmore

You know how Trump used to criticize Obama for executive overreach? Trump would send a tweet that said something like this:

"Obama is using executive orders to get his agenda through, because he isn't capable of negotiating deals with Congress. That's not Congress's fault, that's his own incompetence. ABUSE OF POWER! IMPEACH!"

There actually is a Trump tweet from 5 to 7 years ago very similar to that. I remember it well, and will try to locate it later.

Trump was a citizen then & not a politician pulling for a side. He has a right to say what he wants just like you do.

It's part of the climate now to cheer it on like it's a football game. Many you say = a few that are.....not all.
Again, no it's not. Quite trying to justify your ridiculous partisanship by using the "everyone's doing it" defense. It's simply a fallback when you lack the ability to discuss actual policy decisions

Once again you produce the dumbest of responses. Who said it was ok?

I never saw BB or any of his buddies complain about them. And if the left in 2020 has taught us anything is if you don't denounce something you condone it.

LOL! Trump wasn't an elected official yet, but he was definitely a politician pulling for a side. He has the right to be a hypocrite, and his critics have the right to use his past words against him.

Just as Obama's critics have that same god-given right to use his past words against him. Thanks, Jimmy.

None of us will. This really doesn't get any better when he's out of office

Sure... Obama will never hold another office or seek another office, but yeah, you can bring up his past words to whoever cares.

Neither will .. LBJ ,Nixon , Carter , Reagan, Bush ( either one ) , or Clinton and will still talk about them and what they did / didn’t do .

**** like this is why Trump has die hard supporters. You would think after 4 years he wouldn't be able to troll the left so hard, yet I think it's getting even easier.
Do you honestly think he is trolling? Or just really hoping? Or assuming he is because of the stupidity of it?

Laugh all you want. Putting a mentally deficient man in the WH is not a recipe for success. It's also not a step forward in any sense for those who value liberty and freedom
Biden would not be anyone's ideal choice... but you just can't make us believe that he is as bad as Trump in any aspect.

Trump supporters/conservatives/Republicans desperately want to believe that Trump is some kind of "sly as a fox" genius, who is always one step ahead of his opponents, with his latest epic troll. Every indication we have ever seen from Trump is that he really is THIS narcissistic, and this type of story is consistent with other things he has done. Trump has no shame when it comes to self-aggrandizement.

Imo he would be just as bad or worse. Taxes and spending would be ridiculous plus they would be in a shrinking economy. I can also see a bunch of regulation be put back in place

I agree...not because I think Biden will be worse, but because I believe Trump is simply a symptom of the issue and not the cause of it.

He will go away, if not in January of 2021, then certainly in January of 2025. However, those that support him will not and will only seek to put another like him (or worse) in the highest office of the land.

Good times ahead!!

This is pathetically ignorant of what the Trump Administration has already done. Here are two facts for you, which you couldn't possibly be aware of:

1) Spending has increased $800 billion under President Donald Trump.

2) On February 5, 2020, President Donald Trump released a record $4.829 trillion federal budget proposal for the Fiscal Year of 2021. The U.S. government estimates it will receive $3.863 trillion in revenue, creating a $966 billion deficit for Fiscal Year Oct. 1, 2020 through Sept. 30, 2021...

... and here is the kicker: All of this was BEFORE the COVID-19 pandemic raised the Fiscal Year 2021 deficit to $2.1 trillion. The Fiscal Year 2020 deficit will be $3.7 trillion. Taxing and spending is at least a sound fiscal policy. Cutting taxes and hyper-spending as Trump has done, is not. Trump is spending this country into oblivion... but by all means, beat that stupid and hypocritical "the Democrats are reckless spenders" horse to death. It only makes you guys look even more detached from reality than you already do.

I would bet $ that Biden won't be worse because if a D's in office, Republicans in congress will oppose (at least some instances of) government growth. Right now they're just banding together lighting piles of money on fire and passing basically everything.

Of course, if we get a term where both houses of congress are run by the D's, I don't see it slowing down in any way.

Interesting that I'm ignorant of what he's done when I've actually quoted the exact same numbers. In fact I've quoted Trump's line many times where he said he didn't believe in a budget.

What I've done is watch what the dems have done when given a little support for spending. It's completely ridiculous and would only get worse with no one to check them

And I'm sorry but taxing citizens into oblivion so you can spend even bigger amounts of money is not sound policy. It's theft

Can you define which "you guys" I'm a part of now? It seems to change daily. It's almost like you reply to everyone the same with no attention paid to the poster being quoted

Regardless of who wins this election the candidates from the 2 main parties will only get worse from here on out. Nobody qualified for the job, nobody who should want the awesome responsibility that comes with the job wants it.

It is ignorant to suggest that the Democrats would spend as much as Trump, when nobody has ever spent as much as Trump... and he has managed to do this in just four years. Do you really want to give him four more after this? He will bankrupt the country.
