TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

amazing what happens when a Congressman actually uses the hashtag.

also no crap it has increased some insane amount. there wasn't anything to release before that. and the hashtag would have been "worthless"

it would also be interesting to see just how many of these bots there are, and how they are effecting the total.

#ReleaseTheMemo

Developments today warrant a clean break and the third installment. I've labeled it the beginning of the end because I believe that we are seeing now the collision of the facts and the personalities which will culminate in charges against Donald Trump and others. Money laundering, bribery, obstruction, conspiracy. Or some combination thereof.

So, today ...

It has emerged that as Bannon testified to the House committee, his lawyer would go outside and call the WH and tell them what was asked. He then went back in to tell Bannon not to answer.

A couple of days ago, Lewandowski said that he would answer all questions. When he got there, however, he would not answer anything post-campaign.

When asked if he had spoken to Trump in the prior 24 hours? He refused to answer.

As I say, this is the beginning of the end of this saga. its almost over.

Never ceases to amaze me how one party or the other would go to the nth degree to cut off our nation's nose to spite it's face, just for the sake of politics.

The economy is strong, all indications are that we are in full recovery mode. A change in the Oval Office at this point would be a disaster.

But at last democrats would be happy in their destruction. You only have to look at all of the leftist states and what fiscal shape they're in to see that democratic politicians couldn't care less about how their constituents fare. As long we "we" are in office. SMFH.

He went to school at lowercase u.

Sorry louder but I have always wondered about your peculiar writing style.

Russian president Vladimir Putin joined millions of Orthodox Christians in celebrating the Feast of Epiphany by diving topless into an ice-cold lake.

The ritual was to mark by the Russian Orthodox Church’s annual Feast of Epiphany, where millions of members immerse themselves in rivers and lakes to celebrate the baptism of Jesus Christ in the River Jordan, believing the water briefly becomes purified and heals internal wounds.

Russian-linked bots on Twitter are pushing for the House Intelligence Committee to release a classified report written by committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.).

#ReleaseTheMemo is the top trending hashtag among Twitter accounts believed to be operated by Kremlin-linked groups, according to Hamilton 68, a website which tracks Russian propaganda online.

Hamilton 68 is spearheaded by Clint Watts, an expert on foreign actors using American social media. Watts has testified before Congress multiple times on the matter.

The #ReleaseTheMemo hashtag has increased by 286,700 percent over the past two days and is being used 100 times more than any other hashtag by accounts Hamilton 68 is tracking.

Russian Twitter accounts pushing for release of 'shocking' surveillance memo | TheHill.

Is that why they blocked my Twitter?

There is NO major news covering this FISA abuse memo. Even if the memo is non-inspiring, one would think it warrants at least 90 seconds of coverage. Very shocking.

:loco: some crazy stuff people come to believe in.

That headline tells you all you need to know about CNN.

Is it not a conservative rallying cry? I had not even heard of it until you guys were rallying around it last night.

Do me one favor please. Give it a quick read and tell me your thoughts.

Didn't I see something about a hashtag being very popular over the last couple of days? Who's using that hashtag and why?

"We came across something that's important enough that we believe all members need to know it, and it would be inappropriate for us to sit on that information," Conaway said.

This quote sounds similar to the same reasoning Steele went to the FBI to begin with.

Read it.

When was the last time the ACLU ever agreed with anything the GOP brought up? That right there should tell you something about the memo and the concern others have for it. Plus:

After stepping aside from leading the committee's investigation into Russian election meddling, Nunes has run his own effort to push the FBI and Justice Department for documents about the dossier.

He issued numerous subpoenas and threatened to hold FBI Director Chris Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in contempt of Congress for refusing to provide the information he was seeking.

Wray and Rosenstein agreed earlier this month to provide Nunes the documents he had subpoenaed following a meeting in which Ryan told Wray and Rosenstein he was supporting Nunes.

Yeah, that doesn't sound suspicious or anything...

Do you know why?

Do you know the source of the memo? Who wrote it? What it's actually about?

Here's the script:

Step 1: Nunes assembles GOP talking points designed to undermine Mueller, specifically using FISA. He turns them into a memo.

Step 2: Low level GOP lackeys dutifully go to the cameras to talk about this memo and seeking it's release. This gives the false impression that it actually has some sort of authenticity, like it's a super secret CIA document or something, to give the false impression it contains something verified on intelligence, as opposed to GOP talking points by Nunes.

3) Hannity and other morons go on tv to tell the morons that adhere to them about this most important memo.

4) the 36 % says "a ha!"

5) it's utter bullcrap. But hey, you 36% fell for the fake Nunes-at-the-white-house emergent press release ploy before. They figure, correctly, you are dumb enough to fall for it again.

When LG started this thread, I bet he didn't think it would end this way.

It was a stunning breach of etiquette stampeding straight to a thread III when two was just over half way there.

Another desperate cry for attention.

Then why shouldn't the memo be released and let the DNC come up with their own report?

If it's falsehoods and stretches of the truth, why not set the record straight?

I was only wanting an evaluation of CNN's job of reporting. Did CNN do an adequately fair job?

I think you nailed it, no freeking way Obama, Comey or anyone in that administration would abuse their power.

Other than the fact it took them how long to actually acknowledge the story?

They got both sides for a change. However, I'd be willing to bet pennies to dollars as soon as they get their talking points from the DNC, that song and dance will change.

They came out this morning.
