Only 6 more years and 28 more tangents needed to catch up to the Starr investigation that the right loved so well. What's that they say about karma?

point taken, 4-6 more months, to 4-6 more years...who knows when the special counsel team isn't footing the bill

so happy to sink down to their level aren't you? no accountability, no reasoning. just "Well they started it" "They did it first". no need to get better, to move on, just reuse their methods on them, that will teach them.

and people wonder why we have Trump as president.

Save me the holier than thou speech.

So many on this bored gleefully cheered as Starr conducted a 7 year meandering investigation and now want to claim that one year is excessive and only being used to undermine Trump.

Unfortunately for you (them), there is no statute of limitations on hypocrisy.

Maybe we can compromise on the investigation lasting only half as long.

An investigation in search of a crime.

Yep. Mick reads like a clueless oil hound.

"We've drilled so deep, we're now having to negotiate Chinese oil rights to keep going, but you can see how dedicated we are."

So you are abandoning any high ground and are happy being no better than "them"?

both sides flip their scripts, and most of our country eats it up. that has lead us here. instead of holding a constant, relative, high standard; our society has devolved to the point of constantly rocking back and forth on where we stand allowing us to sink.

Not at all. This is all about Trump. I called for no investigations during Bush's terms. I think what Starr did with the backing of the right was borderline criminal. I think the current investigation is just the opposite. It would be criminal to end the investigation without letting it play out to its conclusion.

"The end justifies the means. I can be you, and still be better than you, because I hate you."

Both sides are despicable, and neither side is willing to be change they claim to want, so nothing ever gets better. While claiming to want change each side merely wants power, control and money. Thus the world goes round and we have a country of hateful, spiteful hypocrites.

Amen to that. Until people are willing to hold both sides to the same standards we will continue in this downward spiral.

See my most recent post in that other thread lobbying to investigate everyone in Washington, expose the corruption, cuff them, sentence them, and scare the next batch so bad they'll think twice before spitting on a sidewalk.

I want them all gone and a fresh, scared batch to replace them.

That's a HUGE difference from your brand of being exactly what you claim to hate. In this very thread.

That's rich Pastor. You seem to go out of your way to perpetuate this.

4 years, Starr started in 1994 and released his final report in 1998. It was actually 2 separate investigations he did try to step down in 1997 after wrapping up convictions in the Whitewater cases. He was asked by the AG to stay on to look into the Paula Jones matter.

Selective indignation.

Doctor heal thyself. I was hoping you would pick up on what I was saying. Evidently not. The irony is lost.

How so? In the past 15 minutes, I've twice called for full investigations of both parties to expose all corruption and run it out on a rail--both parties. Equally.

How does highlighting the void in your statement make me a hypocrite?

What void in what statement?

It’s been a year. If the collusion you so faithfully believe in actually exists, this would’ve been wrapped up months ago. The only confirmation we have is Russia is a country and it’s cold.

I’ll compromise to say that it won’t lead to Trump at all, and unlikely his campaign, but it could lead outside to others and Russia, those who didn’t support Trump, if everyone is honest with themselves, it’s highly possible there was major corruption that most of the media won’t hyperventilate about...Mueller will get something, he’s gotta justify his paycheck and purpose. He can’t come up with zilch.

8 months, I feel it's been a pretty productive and informative 8 months. At this rate, it will conclude far more quickly than the Starr investigation; and with more pertinent findings.

More pertinent than 15 convictions involving real crimes and not just lying to the FBI? Muller has been on the job almost a year, in a little over a year Starr had the Gov of Arkansas facing trial. Muller has some catching up to do.
