TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

Trump also ought to think this through.

Nunes et al are going to contend that the dossier was either the only thing relied upon to get a FISA warrant against Page, or that it was the main thing relied upon to get the warrant. And they are going to claim its because of bias against Trump by three Republican leaders in the FBI.

The FBI is going to be under immense pressure from everyone (except Nunes & Co.) to explain ALL of the bases for getting the warrant. Trump (and Nunes) had better pray that the FBI does not explain what ALL the bases were for it.

I guarantee Mueller knows them. And he is preparing to confront Trump with them.

:good!:

When or if I guess is the biggest question, the Fed raises interest rates back to normal the good times will come to a screeching halt for awhile.

Maybe not.
Screeching, unlikely adjective, more like stabilized.
The Fed may be forced to raise rates more rapidly than the market is anticipating due to accelerating economic conditions..that's essentially what will lead to the market to get offered....I think the stimulative effect of the tax law change has likely been underestimated in the market, it'll have to be stabilized.

Smart cat...I agree with...in essence, cycles happen, probably an asset class shift coming sooner rather than later:

"We believe that the Fed may be forced to raise rates more rapidly than the market is currently anticipating due to accelerating economic conditions and a heating of the economy," John Roberts, director of research at Hilliard Lyons, wrote in response to the survey. "That could lead to a pullback in equity markets when combined with rising rates that make fixed-income instruments more competitive with equities."

Good, lay it all out in the open for us to see. If Trump is dirty nail him, if not clean house in the FBI, DOJ and intel agencies.

I think we're currently in a fed created real estate and equities bubble. The govt is out of ammo for taking on the next crises. Welfare/Warfare nations are very expensive to maintain.

Sigh. You idiot, he's talking about the review by Wray and his assistant who wanted to take it back to be reviewed by the people who know.

Nunes refused.

Starting last night on Fox, this became "The FBI reviewed it and had no changes." So deliberately misleading.

The FBI will get a chance to review it soon enough, their response will be interesting.

Huh? Gowdy advised Nunes to show Wray, so he did. Sorry if I'm clear as mud here, but what did Nunes refuse?

Fox News confirms two senior FBI officials reviewed the Republican memo alleging surveillance abuses during the presidential campaign and could not find any factual inaccuracies; chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge reports.

Unfortunately, mainstream media doesn't cover this 'con-job' by the DNC server-hack.

In its capacity as attorney for the DNC, Perkins Coie – through another of its partners, Michael Sussman – is also the law firm that retained CrowdStrike, the cyber security outfit, upon learning in April 2016 that the DNC’s servers had been hacked.

DUMBSTRUCK: a HomeFront Intelligence Report on how America was conned about the DNC hack

There were multiple cyber-security experts and firms which stated that the DNC e-mail leaks were a part of cyber attacks on the DNC committed by two Russian intelligence groups, called Fancy Bear and Cozy Bear. Aside from CrowdStrike there was also Fidelis, FireEye, Mandiant, SecureWorks, Symantec and ThreatConnect. In fact, ThreatConnect also noted possible links between the DNC Leaks project and Russian Intelligence operations because of a similarity with Fancy Bear attack patterns. SecureWorks added that the actor group was operating from Russia on behalf of the Russian government.

Yeah, recall reading that.

What's interesting is, despite the patent importance of the physical server system to the FBI and Intelligence-Community investigation of Russian meddling in the 2016 election, the Bureau never examined the DNC servers. Evidently, the DNC declined to cooperate to that degree, and the Obama Justice Department decided not to issue a subpoena to demand that the servers be turned over (just like the Obama Justice Department decided not to issue subpoenas to demand the surrender of critical physical evidence in the Clinton e-mails investigation).

Instead, the conclusion that Russia is responsible for the invasion of the DNC servers rests on the forensic analysis conducted by CrowdStrike. Rather than do its own investigation, the FBI relied on a contractor retained by the DNC’s lawyers.

Anywho...the blackhole web, who knows.
