Trump's new Cabinet - Guesses & Nominations

So politicians who use rhetoric are responsible for the actions of their followers who believe them? You want to take a few minutes to think about that?

It’s your left leaning media and constituents who use this media everywhere calling anyone right of center a nazi or racist. It’s everywhere. They shame cops and call cities burning to the ground peaceful demonstrations. Your side needs to stop the rhetoric.

Eh I can’t give him that much credit. If he was that smart he’d also see he’s likely to not get confirmed. If it’s anything like that this gave him a chance to resign while not acknowledging the likely report findings. I’m willing to give him that much credit that’s just swamp survival 101 I’d guess.

You have more faith in the Senate than I do. Loyalty to Donny will be tested early, we will see who is willing to stand on principle.

Either that or they'll get confirmed through recess appointments. That way none of the (R) Senators have to get thier hands dirty or take ownership of confirming a douche canoe like Gaetz.

Lol. I guess we’re just forgetting about “mean tweets,” huh?

Good grief man. No one is calling all republicans nazis or racists.
Some of you guys have a debilitating inferiority complex.

Problem with that is I can see a big chunk of Dem Senators saying “hell yes let’s get this party started!” Hell I’d be tempted to if I was in their shoes.
The Trump transition is signaling that they want to install a bunch of tv personalities at the top of government and then wipe out entire tiers of management and career civil servants.

The Government is so ****ing big that nobody knows everything it does or how to do it. Even within a specific agency you’re going to need to retain a lot of subject matter experts to carry out congressionally mandated functions.

For 30 plus years, Congress has been legislating by saying “develop rules to do this thing.” And the executive branch develops the CFR as an outline of core functions and standards, then the agency in conducting its business finds things that slip through the cracks and they develop internal rules or processes and software systems. There are layers upon layers of statutes and regulations and internal agency protocols and then there’s all the tacit knowledge of like how to send somebody a social security check or to gain approval for and carry out a search warrant to investigate, arrest, and try a case against a child pornographer.

I don’t think there’s any way to make the government much more efficient in 4 years. The only thing they can do is break it and it may cost less for a time while it is being put back together (but probably not much less).

The more unqualified and extreme the agency heads are, the worse it’s going to get broken. I don’t know how much of that I’d be willing to sign up for as a Democrat senator because whoever has the power next is going to get blamed for things not being fixed.
