The border was at least under control four years ago, and the floodgates opened as soon as this sad excuse of an administration took charge in 2020 and issued executive orders overturning everything Trump had done, and made sure any work on the wall ceased. But then you know all this already.

When Biden was in charge, a plan to make progress was due to be rejected because it would not shut the border down 100 percent.


You apply that standard to a plan under his watch.


When I say you must also apply that same zero tolerance standard to Trump, the standard changes to some vague, unknown effect.

I am sure that whatever he does, effective or not, you will sing its praises.

They dismantled every protection from the previous admin then watched the chaos for 3yrs before making this grand "plan to make progress." A plan so wonderful they had to wrap it up with over 80% being foreign war funding so that their party could even stomach it

numbers are obviously arbitrary but:
Before Biden the borders were 80% shut.
Biden comes in and removes most of the things keeping it shut, so it was now only 30% shut.
Biden and Dems reject a house bill that would have shut the border down to 50%.
Biden and the Dems comes out with a "plan" to "fix" it, that would have had it 35% shut but spent much more.
you think 35% is progress over 50%? you think that 35% should have been celebrated given the context?

You're being obtuse again, obviously for effect. Let me spell it out - all Biden, or whoever was pulling his strings, had to do was leave the border the f***k alone and finish the wall. Period. It wasn't perfect, but it also wasn't close to the nightmare it was purposely made into by whatever scum was making decisions for the last four years.

And no, it is you on the left who worship government and look to it to solve every problem in life. I was plenty critical of Trump the first time around and am hoping he doesn't repeat his mistakes. One of the huge ones he has already begun correcting is appointing competent, loyal people as opposed to the deep state garbage he trusted in 2016

where does MTG fit in with the new administration? She’s always seemed like she was jockeying for a position in Trumps cabinet. Just haven’t heard much from her or about her since the elevation.

First it was any plan that is not 100 % effective is crap.

When pointed out that Trump's own plans in 2025 and beyond may not be 100 % effective, you realize the error in your logic (letting the perfect be the enemy of the good), and you say that is not the standard, but just for Trump.

When I point out that you are moving the goal posts, you double down, and move them again. Now, its shifted to be that nothing proposed under Biden's watch on immigration was worthwhile because it did not simply continue Trump's 2018 plans.


See folks, this is what happens when you just knee jerk reject anything imperfect from a political opponent and refuse to acknowledge, or in the case of Trump earlier this year, even allow, compromise, just so you can get a gigantic attaboy from your know-nothing base.

And we wonder why things can't get done.

lets say you have an area that doesn't have good security. like a mall. you have some guards but they just sit in the security room, and there are lots of security issues that happen because of it. some people want a full security overhaul. others want even less security. so you "compromise" by getting more security guards, but require them to also only sit in the security room.

did you really compromise? is the mall any more secure just because there are more guards taking the same amount of action as the old guards?

If Biden had not revoked every Trump border rule it would never have gotten to the point of needing that bill. The bill was only required because of the absolute failure of Biden immigration policies.

It also would have given $100B of tax dollars to Ukraine which actually makes it a massive loser of a bill

Why would Biden have any interest in making things better when it was his policies that created the mess? The Democrats had zero interest in making things "better", except that their poll numbers had gone into the toilet and an election was looming. Everyone knew the bill would solve nothing, and the fact that they tied it into more wasted money going to that clown Zelensky made it a non-starter.

Clinton cleaned house day1 firing every single judge that he could as well. Trump needs to do the same thing and get rid of every judge who enables the "sanctuary cities"...who refuses to turn illegals over to ICE for deportation and instead just releases them back into our country when they commit crimes...who refuse to detain/sentence criminals just because they are minorities, DEI types, or because they are on the bench in liberal strongholds like NYC. They all need to go. We need people in charge who will always put American citizens first.
