I think it’s interesting that you seem to really believe this about yourself and yet have demonstrated time and time again that you adhere strongly to counterfactual opinions (e.g. “only five or six people engaged in violence”).

Where do you think those opinions come from if it isn’t reality and it isn’t an emotional attachment to a cause or political ideology?

Border bill (HR2) was passed in May 2023 by the House and never taken up by the Dem Senate for discussion and vote. Strange.

So, since that is the standard -- perfection or it's a waste -- if Trump fails to shut it down 100 percent, I assume you will want him thrown out of office, correct ?

ah, here we go again with shifting the standard of care so that Rocky can twist an argument out of thin air.

I have no issues accepting when I am wrong. I think the most recent case between us was the Atlanta voting issues in 2020. I guess you forgot about how strongly I adhered to that.

for the violence, even when I was THINKING there were only 5 or 6 I was saying ALL who were violent should be tried. so not even the gotcha you think it is, but whatever it apparently brings you emotional joy to bring it up once every couple years and I won't deny you that joy. for the record I admitted there were more cases of violence as the evidence came, but you like to point only to the points in time I was wrong as if those were my only statements on the matter. so again you just ignore the evidence that doesn't fit your preconceived notions.

now onto your claims of my emotional attachment to Trump. this is a common failing people have. because I can stick to one standard I appear "emotionally attached" to one side or the other. typically its inversely related to who is in charge. While the Ds are in charge I tend to be seen as a Trumpist nazi sympathizer type. when the Rs are in charge I am a Biden/Kamala/Bernie/Obama communist sympathizer. you apparently fall into that same rut. I can't really speak to the WHY of that, but that seems to be a prevailing mindset amongst those who disagree with me.

I am not emotionally attached, unless disgust and schadenfreude count, to either side. both have failings. when they are in charge, I call them out. doesn't mean I think the other side, not in power at the moment, got any better. In this case the Dems are in charge, so I get shafted into the pro-Trump camp when I call out the Dems. I don't know who you would accept as a trustworthy character witness of my anti Trumpness, but my anti-Trump rhetoric is adequately available regardless. there is a reason you will find me in most of the threads regarding Trump's new cabinet and office threads calling out his hypocrisy with the selections, and not ragging solely on the Dems as someone who is emotionally attached would do.

I am sure this will do little to dissuade your character assassination of me, and you will continue to cherry pick my posts instead of providing a fair representation of my posts.

Just using that one example, you weren’t “THINKING” it. You argued about it over multiple days, years after the event, and even after being told there were multiple videos, any one of which disproved your number (videos which you didn’t go watch and instead misrepresented the contents of a government report that showed over 100 assaults).

Even if you were merely ignorant, where did the opinion come from in the first place?

That’s not “changing the standard” and it’s not “misrepresenting your posts.” I’m sure I can go find the posts, like I did last time you got caught lying about your history.

you mean the last time where you went to different threads, with different subject matters, where I was responding to different posters, talking about different things? I wonder why you would see differences between those conversations? and it doesn't require lying. its probably because I was responding to two different circumstances.

as I said, and you ignored again, I have admitted being wrong in the past, and will do so again in the future I am sure. so even with differences across years, it wouldn't be lying if I admitted to previous wrongs and changed my opinion based on different information before I made the second comments.

that is why I am saying you are misrepresenting my posts. you cherry picked two points, ignored any other posts I made on the matter in the intervening time, and assume I wouldn't have changed. granted no one could be expected to follow ALL of my posts around, even though you do give it a good effort, quite flattering I must admit. so its not like I would expect you to see all of my posts admitting to the wrongs or changes of opinions. what I do expect is that you be at least intellectually honest enough to acknowledge the posts you engage with when I say the same things.

Too many of you underestimate Gaetz. He was the main architect behind unseating his Party's sitting Speaker. All while facing a ferocious headwind from DC Uniparty types, investigations, threats against him and his family and constant mainstream press propaganda.
