A District Attorney isn't necessarily in the courtroom much either .... A DA will have had the same relevant experience as the United States AG will.

I definitely think it would be relevant experience in their management of federal prosecutions, to have had the same experience of those that they are in charge of overseeing ....

.... but more importantly, the United States Attorney General should have had some experience as an Attorney General; either as a District Attorney or as a State's Attorney General.
