It actually does, because "DEI policies" under a different name have been standard government procedure for years and aren't changing with the stroke of a pen.

Government employees was the subject of the discussion. You're talking about government contractors (vendors) who are NOT government employees. It is a completely different issue.

Alternative points of view are definitely welcome, what would you call RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard? Just no more retread deep state losers - his first administration was hamstrung by some of his awful cabinet selections, and he's determined not to make the same mistakes again.

They are not, but I would welcome the choice of Tulsi as Secretary of Defense. RFK is a green energy guy as well, but he's being tapped to help in the health area. Neither would have a voice in the energy sector, but if they are chosen it would be taking advantage of their strengths.

Both are people who I trust far more than the DC bureaucrat lifers he trusted in his first go-round, "Republicans" who stabbed him in the back the first chance they got. What a concept - choosing competent people for areas where they are strong as opposed to their gender, skin color, or sexual preference.

Sorry for the snark - sadly that's what talking politics has turned into.

Susie Wiles is a long time political consultant who has been responsible for running victorious gubernatorial campaigns for Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis in Florida when they were barely known, and she ran Trump's 2024 campaign. She knows DC inside and out and reportedly takes no prisoners, exactly the type needed as Chief of Staff.
