"Trump's trade war was disastrous for the U.S. almost any way one calculates."

"Today the only undisputed 'historical' aspect of that agreement is its failure."

"China bought none of the additional $200 billion of exports Trump's deal had promised." The 57% was "not even enough to reach its import levels from before the trade war."

Column: Trump's trade deal with China turned out to be a huge, costly bust

Sure thing chief, everything is a "non sequitur and deflection" that you disagree with. Lately, you seem to be agreeing more and more with Ol Joe's policies which speaks more about your own positions than anyone else on this board

The fact that Biden is a total failure as a President is irrelevant to the fact that his predecessor was too. The sooner people realize this then the sooner we can move on And start to fix this mess. Maybe we could start with the system that basically forced us to choose between the two turds.

It's a non sequitur and deflection because you're bringing up points and making up arguments that don't have anything to do with the conversation. I'm sure your comebacks sound good in your head but everyone else is scratching theirs. Try to stay on topic.

On a side note, specifically - which of Joes policies have I agreed with "more and more?"

This should be an easy exercise since I've done it with so much frequency, lately.

The OP laid out facts not opinion.

What part of "China bought none of the additional $200 billion of exports Trump's deal had promised" is not clicking?
Do you not think a world pandemic might have an effect on imports/exports? What about the thousands of containers that sat/sit off shore may have an impact? Cone on, your trolling is weak or I've way over estimated your critical thinking skills.

I don't disagree but I also don't blame Trump for trying to reign in China even if it was unsuccessful, no one else in Washington seems to be interested in it just like he attempted to fix the immigration issue. I

It's a very easy exercise but if I were you I would really question my decision making abilities if I found myself agreeing with Joe more frequently lately. It's a disturbing trend

I just heard you say, "don't tell anyone but you're right, I was wrong and I'm sorry. I can't back up my statements so I thought I'd stand here, act tough and hoped no one noticed."

That's OK dude, I forgive you.

Hahaha well played but my point still stands, you are slowly morphing into Luther and it's concerning

I'm asking you to produce even a shred of evidence where I've supported the current administration policy's or decisions.

I'll wait.

Trade "wars" are dumb. It's an emotional tool used by politicians on the gullible.

When trump went after China, I was hoping it was just rhetoric to force more trade. It is a non issue.

The funniest part was--even as COVID was spreading from there to here--how desperately Trump was kissing Xi's butt just so he could declare victory with this deal.
