Trump's "Truth Social" Media Oxymoron Incarnate

Ah, sorry. I completely misread your post. I thought you were saying my post was censuring this new Trump platform, not a commentary on VN. My apologies. I agree, VN is about as good as it gets.
To be fair the way I meander around I can reread my own posts from two days ago and think WTF to myself trying to figure out the context of my reply 😂

How much of his own money has Trump put into this?

LOL at the premise of Donny spending his own money. If he's figured anything out, it's to sucker others into shelling out the cabbage and having them eat sh*t when things go sideways.

After the elections he did.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said it was “unacceptable” that the social media giant blocked users from sharing a Post exposé about Hunter Biden’s emails without providing a clear message as to why it was taking the action.

“Our communication around our actions on the @nypost article was not great. And blocking URL sharing via tweet or DM with zero context as to why we’re blocking: unacceptable,” Dorsey wrote in the tweet.

Exactly - once the election went the way they wanted it to and after they skewed things more than any "Russian" troll farms ever could - now, "I'm sorrrrrrrrrrrrrry. No, really really I am (though we are prepared to do the very same thing for the upcoming midterms)."

Showed the power and influence of Social Media by setting up protocols to remove potential vote sway information at the 11th hour.

Nothing will get accomplished until the right operates a similarly powerful platform. Nothing
Not sure that will happen as Parlor struggled to get people to switch over. Facebook and Twitter have time and familiarity on their side. Tech companies need to follow the Michael Jordan format and know they have a good business going to not upset either side but be transparent and neutral.

Part of the draw to Twitter is the banter. Nobody wants to participate in an echo chamber and libs know this

That and news is instant around the world. Twitter and the fact everyone can report news as it happens to me is why the media is now more opinions over facts. A journalism degree is up there with an English/Poetry major who becomes a barista.

I don't understand the OP's frustration with new competition in the marketplace.
The left cheering on the censorship: “if you don’t like it then make you own platform”

The right proceeds to make their own platform.

The left:”Lol look they are just gonna try to make their own platform!”

If I didn’t know better I’d think they weren’t sincere in their original recommendation

Frustration? Heh. Hardly.

These are the silly shenanigans that amuse me. Watching buffoons like Donald and Nunes trying to build a platform to compete with Twitter is just funny.

See there's just one weeeee bit of a problem these chumps have with their tough talk of taking down those big ol' bully leftists...

The Truth Social app will be subject to Apple’s App Store rules that require developers to offer a way for users to report offensive content and provide “timely responses.” The rules also bar content that “encourages violence” or “depictions that encourage illegal or reckless use of weapons and dangerous objects.”

Ooops.

So much for being able to go on "Truth" Social and encouraging all your buddies to start the next Capitol insurrection.

Leftist monster dictators 1

DOH.

The end result is gonna be either this platform conforms to the RULES SET BY APPLE AND GOOGLE or it gets kicked out of the app stores run by them. Guess what happens at that point. No downloads.

Much like Trump himself, I think this thing is just a bunch of hot air, and will float about as well as a lead zeppelin. I wonder whose money will be lost along the way... betting it ain't old Donald's.

I don't see this platform being any different than most. I don't think you'll see terrorists being able to have safe haven to recruit vs an American with an opinion tbough. Offensive is subjective unless it's specifically in the terms and agreements.

For instance, some find Twitter allowing explicit sex videos on user pages offensive but it doesn't get taken down by the company.

I think they'll have a rush of people interested. It will be up to them to keep them with a user friendly platform. Also, expect to see a rush of trolls, troll accounts, bots, viruses setup from people trying to damage the platform. I wouldn't be surprised if some employees of other social media platforms do some of this as well.

There are some like yourself that are lathered up at the thought of them doing this.

Are you one of these disgruntled Lincoln Project, Bush Republicans? That's a serious question by the way.

I just wish there would be a mass exodus off Facebook. After Trump got elected it became more a place for people to air their political grievances. Usually in the form of Orange Man Bad nonstop 24/7. Even the private sports groups I'm in became that way.

I think Facebook has pretty much just run its course. Mine is deactivated but keep my messenger open because some people still want to use it as their main form of communication. As far as I'm concerned the people who are most important to me have my phone number and I have theirs.

I hope he doesn't run again. He will be nearly 80 by that time so I don't know if he'll want to run when the time comes. He really shouldn't run again and should just back DeSantis, assuming he runs for office.

With anyone other than Trump, the GOP is pretty much guaranteed a victory in 2024.
Trump will win if the election is between him and Biden or Kamala. The only Democrat that might win is Michelle Obama or maybe if they decide to run someone like Manchin or Sinema.

Trump is a moron and will beat no one. If he does just shut the whole damn thing down because we've lost.

You have obviously been ignoring the polling and the exit polling of the Virginia governor election. Democrats almost lost New Jersey too. People, including some democrats and the more reasonable leftists, are tired of all this covid BS.

Would you rather have 4 more years of Biden/ Harris and their crew?

Does she claim the heritage? I have no idea if she does or not. But the name clearly carries that origin. And if she does that just makes her stupid azz comments that much worse 😂
Yes. She has been of the Jewish faith for a long time.
