Trump's "Truth Social" Media Oxymoron Incarnate

Way more independents and many minorities are tired of Biden. Doubt that many Republicans are stupid enough to help re elect Biden.

Biden won't be running again regardless of what he says. The Dems may be loony, but they're smart enough to recognize that they can't trot him out there again after how awful this has gone. Same goes for Harris most likely.

Trump isn't a viable option for the GOP if the goal is indeed to take back the White House. That's all there is to it.

You guys wouldn't seriously support him would you?
If it came down to him over any democrat then the answer is yes. I do not support the democrat party in any way.

Now I might vote third party or independent depending on who runs.

Ummmm.....I would. He is scores better than anyone the dems are going to roll out there. As already mentioned, the dems will never back a moderate like JM, It will be another leftist loon. I'll take America first and mean tweets all day long if that means closing the porous southern border to prevent losers from coming here to mooch off us, and preventing more lefties in our federal courts that believe that the constitution is a "living, breathing" document.

Back to the original topic, what we have here is a parallel economy developing, and it won't be good for the leftist platforms like twitter and facebook.

This doesn't help anything. People from both sides should want both parties to be better. You realize the parties getting worse is bad for America, right? JFC

Disagree. I was once a registered Republican. However, today's GOP isn't anything like the 'old' GOP. The GOP needs to either ditch Trumpism or go bye-bye. A new party would emerge - hopefully one that I would agree with and vote for.

That you agree with? Do you have more superior morals than other people?

I wish the democrat party would go bye bye. Instead they ran a racist segregationist for president who spent almost 50 years in politics doing nothing. And that man is still doing absolutely nothing and his administration is a complete disaster.

Morals? Heh. I'll take a flawed President over a King all day. The GOP needs to return to its roots. We'll see if its leaders have the balls to stand against Trump to make it there.

Anyone who voted for or supports Biden has no right to a moral high ground over anyone else. Nobody has that right actually.

I guess since you are okay with a "flawed" president then you must be okay with communism.

Who is the flawed President vs who is the "King"?

If you're talking about Biden being flawed, MP he is beyond that. You don't vote for a guy that has been a perennial loser. He has been a loser for a reason. Now he is showing us how bad he is. This is very costly for our country in so many ways.

I agree Trump's personality is cringeworthy, but I'm guessing he's always been a little "arrogant"(spell correct)or narcissistic. It's not saying it should be an excuse for his supporters but the guy has great instincts. Most of the moves made under his administration were the right moves imo, but there were two major things most prudent people didn't like besides the tweeting: (1) being convinced to do the lockdowns at the outset (2) being caught up in the big spending on DC. I really expected him to govern as a fiscal conservative. He didn’t, but I think the swamp is much deeper than he understood. I also think he made concessions in order to get through some of the things he wanted done. I won't make this long, but I think there was no way they were going to let him govern without trying to destroy him thus you have the russian dossier, and the collusion between the media, democrat party and even some rhino's like McCain. He was angry and couldn't let it go.

Good points. At the end of the day, Trump is all bluster. The only tangible things he did in office that still stand today are building the Wall and running up a huge federal deficit. Everything else he did was washed away with the strokes of Biden's pen via executive order in the first few weeks of office.

The GOP must detach itself from Trumpism. I was happy to see both Pence and McConnell take action to this effect recently. And yeah, Pence is right... Trump's Jan 6th shenanigans were "unAmerican".

I read the OP then LOL’d at all the Twitter and TikTok nonsense posted in the Covid thread to try and sell the narratives.

Some of the people on here are real pieces of work.

"Donald Trump on Thursday announced his upcoming social media platform, which he vowed would allow free speech after he was banned from major websites following the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol insurrection carried out by his supporters.

But the rules for TruthSocial.com are already online and there’s an ironic flaw built in. The website, “founded with a mission to give a voice to all,” forbids anyone from criticizing the site or those behind it, presumably including the former president.

The terms of service include an agreement not to “disparage, tarnish, or otherwise harm, in our opinion, us and/or the Site,” as Brad Heath of Reuters noted on Twitter.

It also bans “excessive use of capital letters,” which may come as a surprise to those who recall Trump’s often caps-riddled tweets.

Shocking. Users of Truth Social don't have "free speech" despite Donald's claims of free speech.

What's next... they gonna tell us that the Truth isn't the Truth!?!?!?

Oh... no...

I think supporting Biden once is worse than supporting Obama twice.

The saying this next election will be "Don't vote blue no matter who".
I was more a part of the 50 million or so who was voting against Trump.
It will be more like "Don't vote blue no matter who, unless the other choice is Trump; and then vote blue no matter who."

Pipe dream nonsense

Hmm... how so? There have been 7 different parties of winning Presidents to date in our country.

Plus, the core beliefs are definitely not shared between the current GOP and those supporting "Trumpism".

We're overdue for a new one.

Federalist
Democratic-Republican
National Republican
Democratic
Whig
Republican
National Union

There hasn't been a president unaffiliated with D or R for 170 years.

True. But, had Perot not quit, then re-entered, the race in '92, he was leading in the polls.

A three way race is very, very possible in '24 IMO. In fact, if neither side (GOP v. Trumpsters) backs down, I think it's likely.
