TrumPutinGate

You are wrong as usual. Not surprising. This post shows you have little to no understanding other than what some website can give you of what the Electoral college is all about. You probably think the popular vote should be used instead. My God.

I'm still not very clear on the rational behind using the electoral college in national elections and popular vote in statewide elections. Some states have tried to implement an electoral college type system for statewide elections but it has always been ruled unconstitutional, I just find that interesting.

Try reading the article.

I did. It claims Rice is known for pushing the limits of what's legal, which has lead to her being hated by the intelligence community, and that an investigation should take place into her conduct.

Perhaps you should've read it

The FBI Director has already previously stated that Rice had the power and authority to unmask an individual.

You're missing a couple of issues.

The first is that unmasking and releasing are different things. Rice at no point had permission to release the information. Even if rice had the authority to unmask it, there's certain standards in place for why information should be released. Serving political interest of your party is not one of them.

So the intelligence agencies admit a bias against the current president? You realize this supports what we've all been telling you, right?

It's a witch hunt lead by rogue members of the intelligence community for political purposes.

Nowhere in that article did it say that.

"Trump and his supporters seek to paint any interception of American phone calls—or even discussions about Americans by foreigners—as improper and maybe illegal. That’s not true. Every day, the National Security Agency intercepts lots of calls between foreigners in which Americans are discussed. If they’re important Americans—top politicians, for instance—that intercept may have intelligence value. If it doesn’t, the intercept is deleted and forgotten.
More rarely, the NSA intercepts phone calls in which one of the interlocutors is an American. As long as this operation has been approved per the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act—meaning a top-secret Federal court has issued a warrant for this collection—this is perfectly legal SIGINT. Here, too, an intelligence report will be issued in top-secret channels if the NSA determines there’s foreign intelligence value here and somebody, usually the FBI, needs to know what the intercept reveals."

"That said, President Trump and his fans should be cautious, since it will be nearly impossible to prove that Rice did anything wrong by asking the NSA to unmask Americans in SIGINT reports."

If the IC community is biased against than DoD really is biased against Trump.

Yea you can't prove that she did it for political reasons.

I'm commenting on what you quoted. You quoted that the intelligence agencies do not like trump.

That only serves to support the theory that this is merely a polically driven witch hunt.

Why was the information released is the important question you're missing? There's two keys to that. One is rice unmasking the names to begin with. The other is a piece of legislation Obama signed right before leaving office to allow more access to such information from multiple agencies, thus increasing the likelihood of a leak.

But she still has to defend why she requested their names and how this information that came from her office (the unmasked names) got out.

The impeachment of Clinton was a political witch hunt. What is happening here is a counterintelligence investigation into whether the President or any of his advisers or associates were in contact, took funds or acted in any way shape or form as foreign agents for the Russian government and if their influence helped Trump in any way win his election.

Do you know what you call an investigation that occurs despite not having any supporting evidence?

A witch hunt.

The impeachment of Clinton wasn't a witch hunt because he was having sex with an intern. He put himself in a situation to be blackmailed. It's no secret that the Chinese military advanced leaps and bounds when he was in office. Did he help them out because they had some other dirt on him?
