TrumPutinGate

Again, perhaps you should do more reading before posting outright lies.

Questionable source, single source, very troll-like comments, fail on CNN's part. Fail on you for not reading.

Again with the "outright lies"? I included the disclaimer mainly so people would read the article for themselves and not take my word as truth...good habit for us all!!! (I did read it, just quickly....I'll never post something I don't at least skim through.)

In your opinion, why would Trump allow Russian media but no US photographers? If he knew the pictures would be released anyway, what was the point?

The anti Trump crowd is biting on every bit of anti Trump bait put out there. It's great watching the troll job being done by disingenuous "journalists".

How anyone can trust CNN anymore is beyond me. That news organization worked in concert with Hillary and the DNC to sway the primary and presidential votes in Hillary's favor. cherry picked reporting, debate cheats, the whole gamut.

You guys still believing their headlines are suckas!

From the article you didn't read.

The White House blocked US reporters from photographing the meeting, opting to allow only White House and Russian photographers to capture images of Trump's interactions with Lavrov. The White House official insisted it is standard practice to keep more of a lid on presidential meetings with lower-level foreign officials, as opposed to visits from heads of state, which typically come with greater press coverage.

The White House did not post photos of the meeting although an official White House photographer was also in the room, the White House said.

And funny thing about that article that says TASS "trolled" the White House. The Tweet in question:

[twitter]https://twitter.com/mfa_russia/status/862320676765650945[/twitter]

The Russian language portion on that Tweet?

In the Oval Office began a meeting between S. Lavrov and D. Trump

(literal translation)

Wow, hardcore trolling right there.

It's clearly understood by some on here that you and others on here will defend trump under any circumstance . Really no surprise.

Sounds like he is defending common sense to me. It is amazing to me some the tinfoil hat theories that are being thrown around like truths by some of y'all, who then attack others for not falling in line with you.

And wait! There's more!

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/trump-meeting-lavrov-kislyak-closed-press-tass

White House spokespeople did not respond to TPM’s questions about the press arrangement Wednesday. TASS’ Washington bureau chief, Andrei Sitov, told TPM that no one from his bureau was present at the meeting.

“Apparently the TASS person was admitted at the request of the Russian Foreign Ministry as the official photographer for the Russian side,” Sitov added in a later email. “He is permanently assigned to cover FM Lavrov. His pictures from the meeting are available at the Russian FM’s Flickr. I was not even aware of this.” The Foreign Ministry’s Flickr page can be found here.

An unnamed White House official later told the Washington Post: “We were not informed by the Russians that their official photographer was dual-hatted and would be releasing the photographs on the state news agency.”

You see, it helps to be butthurt only when you do the proper research and actually find out the "why" instead of going off half cocked and believing everything CNN reports as gospel.

From the article you didn't read.

I stated twice that I read the article, albeit quickly. You stated twice that I didn't read the article.

That's coming precariously close to calling me a liar. That's a line I would have hoped you would not cross.

You obviously didn't read it. You "skimmed" it per your first post.

Reading is actually going through the article and digesting the contents in a rational manner.

Skimming means hitting the high points and rushing to VN to post it as "news" without context or even knowing everything it says. Or doing a bit of back checking to see "why" it happened. As I did in a 1.2 second Google search and netted three articles knowing "why" a TASS reporter was let into the Oval Office.

You've got a bunch of people out there that are so filled with hatred for Trump they will latch onto the tinniest little negative thing the media reports about Trump. I've never seen anything like it. It's about 10x worse than when Bush was in office

Yes on both accounts. The Trump-hatred isn't going to change anything positively or negatively. People opposed to his administration should stop with the hapless protesting and thinking posting on social media/Volnation is political activism and get involved in phone-banking or canvassing for a candidate they support in 2018.

I agree. If only they used this much energy protesting the DNC screwing Sanders and nominating the criminal Hillary.

One glaring lie in your post is "Trump was furious." Well, the article doesn't mention a reaction from Trump. Perhaps you should do a bit more in depth reading before posting such falsehoods.

I do love it with they use "unnamed sources." Almost sounds like a troll job to me. "Didn't know they would use the photographs"? Really?

Unnamed sources are extremely important for a free press. Without unnamed sources we would never gotten to the bottom of Watergate.

I'm proud of your diligence. If everyone on VN would follow your lead, we could eliminate lots of nonsense, fake news, and division. Of course it would also eliminate about 80% of what's posted.

By the way. Trump was furious over the release of the pictures by Russia; at least that's what I'm hearing.

And the difference?

The media back then investigated the claims made by said unnamed sources and got the "why" and "how" of the situation.

Good luck finding that kind of attitude in today's media. Fox News included.

And the same was true for Obama and Clinton. it's a vicious cycle. No one hates Trump more than I and no one hates Hillary and Obama more than some of you. That's why the ability to find and access legitimate news is imperative and it's the only answer. The amount of fake, twisted, biased, and false "news" we are all bombarded with daily is frightening. And before any of you hyperventilate, I'm guilty as well, we all are.....some to a greater extent than others. If a fact is open to interpretation, then it's really just an opinion. There is no such thing as alternate facts. If we could just agree on 80% of the actual facts, that would be step in the right direction.

My opinion....the right perfected the disinformation tactic and the left is fighting back with the same tactic (again - I'm guilty). Trump is intent on taking it all to a new level. Every time he uses the term fake news to refer to real news, he is taking us further in the wrong direction. It was a calculated strategy from the beginning and one that does not serve the best interest of the country.

and this is where we completely disagree

Somewhere James Carville just snickered.

So you think is ok to lie to further a cause?
