Sadly I think this will end up being just another nothing-burger. There's nothing I'd like to see more than Kushner, the liberal demotard, get tossed from the WH before he can do much damage. Maybe the Washington Post can manufacture some MUH Russian ties to Gary Cohn too. I'm sure it's already on their to-do list of "everyone who Trump knows is a Russian spy" stories

RJK had a back channel with the Soviet Union. But it was approved and sanctioned by the President of the United States and it was documented. Unsanctioned undocumented back channeling with a foreign adversary secretly is espionage.

Bottomline, IMO, it's all about advancement of the Trump Brand, both publicly and privately. His actions and "decisions" are made based on what will increase and strengthen his financial empire. Trump never did give two hoots about making things better for the average American. His view ... if it is good for ME it must be good for the peasants because I'm rich and that makes be smarter and I know more than ALL the generals. He wants to be as rich and powerful as Putin. He is envious.

The Trumpsters--seriously--are mobsters. Russian under Putin is a mobster culture--this has been written about frequently and is pretty much beyond dispute--and Trump wants to be a part of it. He courted Russian money because U.S. and European banks didn't want to deal with him anymore, and lots of dirty Russian kleptocrats have invested in Trump's business. If you know anything about modern Russian culture, you know they have that classless regard for bling that typifies a lot of questionable and uneducated types. They are a good match for a con artist like Trump who likes to flash. Trump is indebted--literally to Putin cronies: what else explains his great affection for Putin? Kushner has a Manhattan building for which he grossly overpaid, and it has debt problems. There is no doubt that he's seeking some of that dirty Russian money himself. Why else would the Russian ambassador bring along a Russian banker to meet Kushner?

This all means that the Trumpsters are compromised--they are putting their commercial interests above the national interest of America--and that, friends, is corruption and possibly treason. Russian money gives Putin and Russia leverage over Trump and Kushner, who of course should not be in a position of power in the first place. Flynn was completely compromised. And where did this information come from? It comes from U.S. intelligence officials who hate Trump because he's disloyal and because Trump trashed OUR OWN intelligence agencies right after the election--defending Putin--claiming the Russians didn't hack us--and then casting aspersions on the CIA and NSA. What newly elected president does that??!!

The Russians are our enemy--they are not our friend. They stole Crimea from Ukraine; they gave armaments to Russian rebels in Ukraine--who accidently shot down a Dutch airliner flying over the area killing hundreds of people. Recall this? Putin kills his enemies. He's a nasty dictator--and the Trumpsters want to be pals with him because they need Russian money. Corruption and treason of a high order. Congress needs to impeach Trump and throw this whole crowd out of Washington on their asses. Can you imagine what these Trump goons would be doing were our intelligence agencies not doing their job? Trump is the Manchurian Candidate--a disgrace, an embarrassment and a danger to this country. He's the rare combination of utterly stupid, incompetent and sinister.

I'm in the car and listening to Fox News. The Host is arguing vigorously that there is nothing wrong if there was collusion between the Trump Administration and the Russians because collusion with the Russians is not, by rule, illegal.

This is just shocking to me. The partisan effort to defend collusion with the Russians just because it's a Republican president is beyond turning the world on its head. If Hillary Clinton had won and was accused of having teamed up with the Russians to defeat the Republican, Fox and other Republicans would be going absolutely crazy. They would be calling for her to be put in prison or executed or thrown under the jail or something. But because it's a republican, because it's Trump, we actually have conservative media defending it. Unbelievable.

I think most rationale people are waiting for the investigation to conclude and have actual facts reported before jumping on either band wagon.

Exactly. If actual, credible evidence surfaces that Trump colluded with Russia illegally, then I say take whatever legal means necessary.
