TrumPutinGate

From the podesta leaks. Seems to put a significant dent in the Russia theory (at least pertaining to the DNC leaks) , and also bolsters the plausibility that Seth Rich was the leaker.

"As a result of this analysis, NGP VAN found that campaign staff on the
Sanders campaign, including the campaign’s national data director, had
accessed proprietary information about which voters were being targeted by
the Clinton campaign — and in doing so violated their agreements with the
DNC.

These staffers then saved this information in their personal folders on the
system, and over the course of the next day, we learned that at least one
staffer appeared to have generated reports and exported them from the
system.

None of this is in dispute. It’s fully documented in the system logs."

It could be that they have enough wisdom and knowledge to understand that the best thing for America's future is an ineffective or impeached Trump. If that's the case, then the links are quite patriotic and honorable.

This is one of your dumber posts.

Impeaching a president weakens the country. If Trump and congress is ineffective who's going to fix all the **** Obama screwed up? What will you be saying when the ACA crashes?

Funny, that door swings both ways...

People who are not very sharp (and, yea, by that I mean smart)--conservatives--are always trying to make a false equivalency between fox and the mainstream media and between Trump or other idiot Republicans and Obama/Clinton/Democrats.

Fox, since its inception, has been a GOP propaganda operation, run by a former GOP political operative. Aisles worked for Richard Nixon. No Democratic political operatives have ever run CBS or NBC or the New York Times or Washpost, etc. They've never been propaganda operations with talking points parroted all day by TV hosts. The networks have never had Bill O'Reilly or Hannity spouting the party line every day. MSNBC is a more progressive counterweight to fox--but MSNBC is another cable network whose current platform emerged in reaction to fox. The mainstream media--by which I mean the major newspapers and major networks--have always been seriously journalistic operations with very serious, talented journalists and managers, going back to World War II. Fox, in comparison is a cheap, noxious propaganda network that has done much to destroy political comity in America. Rupert Murdoch owns fox--his a disreputable businessman, like Trump, who wants to make money any way he can.

And comparing Obama and Clinton to Trump is another laugh--something only the uninformed would do. Obama and Clinton are serious, accomplished people. Trump is a dishonest, sinister real estate developer cum mobster who has no scruples--at all. Rare is the man who delights, as he does, in doing foolish, nasty things and making an ass of himself at every opportunity. Here is a guy who thought it OK to undermine our own democratic election system by lying about fraudulent voting after the election because his narcissistic, demented personality couldn't deal with the fact that he lost the popular vote. Everybody in the White are dilettantes who known nothing about policy or government. Kushner's father is a convicted felon--look it up. And read about Kushner's purchase of 666 Fifth Avenue. He needs a bailout and was/is hoping that some of Putin's cronies can help him out.

Trump made a fool of himself--again--in Europe. The Europeans are absolutely appalled by him--as are all sensible people in this country. Trump has a bizarre tendency to criticize good people and allies and praise strongmen and dictators. That should worry everybody. Germany is run by adults while the United States is run by a bunch of conservative crazies. Britain had a Trumpian moment, too--when working people allowed themselves to get manipulated by fraudulent Brexit propaganda. That country will great regret leaving Europe, as many already are, and I believe will rejoin the EU in the near future.

On policy, Trump has allowed himself to be led around by the nose by the far right wing of the party, partly because he knows nothing, doesn't want to learn or can't learn, and so is very malleable. He vowed to "drain the swamp," help the working man, complained about the influence of Wall St., and then when elected hired Goldman Sachs executives and dirty businessmen with a reputation for screwing workers as his key advisors. Trump is the worst presidential mistake in the history of this country.

No, your personal opinion is thinking Trump needs to be impeached. Which is still your crybaby way of *****ing and whining over the election results because your candidate didn't win.

Guess what, mine didn't either. So, get over it. He's your President, deal with it. Don't like that? Vote in 2020 for someone else.

No, these leaks are not honorable or patriotic in any way, shape or form. They are doing nothing to help the country as a whole and actually causing more damage.

**** those people. Hang them.

Can you provide a TL;DR summary and withdraw your snarky "conservatives are stupid" comments? Because when you lead off with such moronic statements, it tends to shut people out. Thanks in advance.

As a side note, at least you've learned what paragraphs are for.

And...... Now, according to an anonymous source talking to Catherine Herridge, the back channel communication was the Russians' idea and the meeting was a conversation about Obama policy in Syria.

Can't even get their talking points straight

What's the conflict?. Sure, it differs from the anonymous source, but I haven't seen the WH officially attach to that.

Just a hypothetical....

Could a president ever be so bad that complete ineffectiveness, resignation, or impeachment would actually be beneficial to the nation? If the answer is yes, what would be the appropriate role of a good citizen?

Why do you guys have such acceptance of democratic stereotypes and intolerance of conservative stereotypes? At least I was willing to say they were "almost" equally true. The democratic stereotype is thrown around this board much more frequently than the conservative. When you start calling out both side, it will give your concerns a tad more credence.

Until then... dems = beta male Marxist wussies
reps = dim witted, uneducated morons

I do think the Constitution outlines such things, even though vague in some portions. However, it's up to the House to decide such charges are applicable and the Senate to vote on it. Doesn't change the fact you wish it so because your candidate didn't win.

Now, we aren't talking a Watergate situation here where where reporters are doing their due diligence in investigating leads and making sure the i's are dotted and t's are crossed. This time the media is flinging poo against the wall hoping like hell something sticks because of innuendo, rumor, gossip and blatant lies.

Again, ask yourself when does it become too much? At what point should this come to an end and people realize the childishness of their actions as well as the harm they are doing to the stature of our country worldwide? For crying out loud, the Brits have expressed concern over sharing intel with us because of our leaks. That has nothing to do with Trump. Now we're talking our national security being at stake because people can't keep their damn mouths shut. That kind of nonsense transcends whomever is in the White House because things like that can damage us far beyond Trump's Administration.

It's gone on long enough and has certainly gone too far.

What did obama accomplish that was good for the majority of its citizens except for killing OBL?

It's not because Clinton lost; it's because Trump won. There is a significant difference between those two that many on here seem reluctant to acknowledge.

I firmly believe that the only thing that is saving the stature of our country in the eyes of the world is the continued outcry against Trump. Trump has already done great damage to our stature and left unchecked, will continue to do so.

Semantics. Your chosen one got her ass beat when she all but guaranteed the election by the media and the DNC. Guess what? You're butthurt over it still.

I learned to move on with my life and accept the person sitting in the Oval office just like I did with Presidents I didn't like. It's healthy to accept the things you cannot change and learn to live with them.

And I firmly believe that same outcry and leaking of info is damaging our stature just as much or more than Trump is doing. And specifically, why stature has Trump really damaged? Talking tough on Europe to fill the obligations they agreed to? (Obama did that first, where's your screeching and gnashing of teeth?) Talking tough on Mexico and Canada to help improve trade? Talking tough on China to improve trade and bring them onto our side or as a minimum a neutral party when dealing with North Korea?

Your perception of things is just as different as mine. But it's all perception; an opinion of things we see. I see these leaks as dangerous. You see them as the second coming of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.

I agree. We just see things differently. I'm sure that for the most part, we ultimately want the same things for our kids and the future. (Just different ideas on how best to get there)

Bullspit.

Watergate took over a year to unfold. And, just like Trump now, Nixon tried to blame the press and painted himself as the victim.

We'll see how this all ends up. But despite Trump's repeated efforts to head off the investigations, they are moving forward and the press will not just sit back and do nothing because it annoys Trump.

Maybe Trump will be vindicated. I doubt it. I suspect you doubt he will, too.
