TrumPutinGate

I honestly believe also that he will resign during his first term. This is a man who has for his whole life received nothing but adulation, praise and lips on ass from those around him. We've known for a long time that he can't handle criticism. He's now getting hit with it hard and heavy from around the world. Besides IMO he never wanted this job. He just wanted to prove that he could get it.

I believe he's beginning to wither under the storm. I picture him wandering the halls of the WH alone at night wringing his hands.

I suspect he'll start holding rallies again soon so he can just hear someone cheering him.

My impression of Trump is that he's not a quitter. He may not and I would be he doesn't seek reelection but he's not quitting.

Very true.. Incompetence is the best we could hope for! To me this is not just Democrat versus Republican, it's about doing the right thing. Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion but what would some of these guys be saying if Hillary was being accused of these acts?

I imagine they would have a much different take!

you mean like the clinton foundation Russians and Uranium One? or the sauds and arms?

they only difference would be the reversal of roles the parties assume.

I was waiting to someone to say " their coming for our jobs" when they don't have to our jobs are going to them.

Come here and live off the taxpayer.. A better life when their in little or no safety net at the country of origin.. We will give them everything and when their is push back.. Those who are receiving can call the people funding their lifestyle.. racist.. Brilliant

When's the perjury charges being filed?

So in a battle of credibility between James Comey and Donald Trump, you choose Trump with no reservations?

I believe Comey fumbled the ball in some very complicated situations that were politicized by forces beyond his control, but I find it very hard to believe that anyone would think him less credible than Trump at this point.

It is debatable, at best, whether Trump can actually be charged with obstruction of justice, or whether he enjoys immunity based on executive privilege. However, if Comey does so testify, under oath, then the House GOP will have no choice but to impeach Trump. Anything less, and their credibility as an institution will be completely and utterly destroyed.

In this case, all day-every day. Comey has already testified that Trump hadn't pressured him and now he's supposedly ready to testify he was?

My guess is that in Oct you probably thought Comey had zero credibility.

Or the DOJ charge Comey with perjury, he's already testified once that he wasn't pressured.

Wake up LG, there will. Not. Be. Any. Impeachment.

1) Comey said that the Justice Department had not asked him to shut down the investigation. He was not asked about Trump during that testimony, but some internet trolls are excerpting and editing what he said to make it sound that way. Of course, a lot of gullible people want to believe that, so it is an easy grift to pull.

2) I never thought Comey had zero credibility.

the witch hunt continues. you are once again defining parameters where in both situations you win.

Remember that Beavis and Butt-Head Episode some years ago (too many for me to remember) where they find this copier and start making copies of a one dollar bill? The owner of the store starts talking about calling the cops on them and Butt-Head keeps passing him one of the copies saying "maybe this will change your mind..."

LG reminds me of Butt-Head as each time a new "revelation" from an unnamed source comes out, he'll post "well, the House just HAS to impeach him this time..."

"Maybe this will change your mind...maybe you'd like to reconsider..."

Is in not normal to ask after multiple of high ranking intel people like Clapper and Comey have testified that no evidence has been found to close it and move on?

The conversation in which Trump asked Comey to lay off Flynn and let the Russia investigation die happened after Comey had testified the first time.

More burying your heads in the sand and praying this goes away. It is not going to go away. It is going to get worse. A lot worse.

If this testimony is indeed given, the GOP House has two choices: impeach Trump and save what is left of their reputation in hopes that they can hang onto power themselves next November; look the other way and shirk their duties, sealing their fate to his.

Neither is a good option, politically. But look at the situation. Trump's numbers have fallen to high 30s and its just the base that keeps him holding steady there, and those people are in the fold, anyway. Trump is so inept that nothing is getting done legislatively of any moment.

ACA repeal and replace is in serious doubt at this point because of the Medicaid cuts, if nothing else. No one wants to repeat that disastrous celebration in the Rose Garden and no one in the Congress you will notice, is rushing over to the WH to get their pic taken with Trump. He's freaking kryptonite.

Add to that the fact that Trump budget is DOA (according to GOPers), there is no progress being made on tax reform, and everything is just sitting there despite GOP control of everything.

It is painfully obvious that Trump was always, and definitely at this point is, pretty much on an island within the GOP. He has no fans within that party in Washington. None. The only reason they have not ousted him to this point is that they are afraid of the 37 % that has yet to abandon him.

But you know what? You know who is really rooting for there to be some smoking gun material to they can dump his fat, stupid, egomanical azz?

The House and Senate GOP.

Impeachment is a political procedure. It's going to take stark evidence to shame House Republicans into going down that path.
