More burying your heads in the sand and praying this goes away. It is not going to go away. It is going to get worse. A lot worse.
If this testimony is indeed given, the GOP House has two choices: impeach Trump and save what is left of their reputation in hopes that they can hang onto power themselves next November; look the other way and shirk their duties, sealing their fate to his.
Neither is a good option, politically. But look at the situation. Trump's numbers have fallen to high 30s and its just the base that keeps him holding steady there, and those people are in the fold, anyway. Trump is so inept that nothing is getting done legislatively of any moment.
ACA repeal and replace is in serious doubt at this point because of the Medicaid cuts, if nothing else. No one wants to repeat that disastrous celebration in the Rose Garden and no one in the Congress you will notice, is rushing over to the WH to get their pic taken with Trump. He's freaking kryptonite.
Add to that the fact that Trump budget is DOA (according to GOPers), there is no progress being made on tax reform, and everything is just sitting there despite GOP control of everything.
It is painfully obvious that Trump was always, and definitely at this point is, pretty much on an island within the GOP. He has no fans within that party in Washington. None. The only reason they have not ousted him to this point is that they are afraid of the 37 % that has yet to abandon him.
But you know what? You know who is really rooting for there to be some smoking gun material to they can dump his fat, stupid, egomanical azz?
The House and Senate GOP.

I keep waiting for some "smoking gun" to come out as a fact of some sort of Russian involvement between Russia and the Trump campaign and see nothing. I want to see some facts of a broken law and nobody can show one. All we ever see in the news are "unnamed" sources. Hell, I can make an unsubstantiated allegation against anyone, that doesn't make it true.
Show me some proof democrats and I'll jump on the get rid of him train faster than anyone, otherwise shut up. BTW keep up with your hate Trump campaign with the antics of a so called comedian showing a decapitated Trump head. That's sure to get you millions of voters in the heartland.
it is debatable, at best, whether trump can actually be charged with obstruction of justice, or whether he enjoys immunity based on executive privilege. However, if comey does so testify, under oath, then the house gop will have no choice but to impeach trump. Anything less, and their credibility as an institution will be completely and utterly destroyed.
"Quirks of electoral college math"? Seriously? You are not fooling anyone with this "broken law" standard you are trying to impose. This is the Trump/Fox talking point.
Even if it is not technically illegal to collude with a foreign adversary to affect the outcome of an election, when you lose by 3 million votes but eek out a victory through a few quirks of electoral college math, if you did collude, you are absolutely illegitimate as POTUS of the United States.
You are crippled, even within your own party. You are subject to impeachment. You will be mocked as fake, and deservedly so, for the next three years.
You have to go, whether charged formally with a crime, or not. This is simply beyond debate, and your effort to come up with this pansy excuse of its technically not against the law is pathetically disingenuous.
But hey, you know what? If you are satisfied with that to try to get people to look the other way next November and in 2020, I wish you all the luck in the world.
My guess is that the way the GOP is acting right now in the House and Senate, they do not relish the thought of defending a guy who won by such gimmickry and shennanigans, followed by their own failure to act on it, with, "Oh yeah ?? Well, show me in the law books where it says he actually committed a crime!"
If that is what you are left with, you are sunk.
