TrumPutinGate

News this morning is that Trump came in with orders to ease Russian sanctions.

Multiple Trump campaign and administration officials failed to list multiple meetings with Russian agents. They have repeatedly lied about it. Over and over again.

Kushner dispatched to secret meetings with Russian banker close to Putin. Proposal to set up secret communications channel, using Russian apparatus so as to hide communications from US intelligence.

Overwhelming evidence of Russia siding with Trump and interfering with the election.

Trump tries to head off the investigations.

You know, we are not seeing the classified briefings. But Senate GOPers are. And they are oddly silent on defending Trump from these questions.

I think we are in for a remarkable summer. By the time the Gator game rolls around, Trump may well not be president.

At least you'll be easy to spot in the stands with that tin-foil hat.

Your dismissiveness is telling.

Exactly the same way I felt about you when Hillary was the talk of the town with Benghazi.

Or was it Obama during the IRS scandal?

Maybe Holder during Fast and Furious?

Kerry during the Iran Nuclear Deal?

There were so many times you were dismissive, it's hard to keep them straight.

I can't wait for you to eat crow at the end of summer

Woolsey: Flynn sought personal control over CIA reporting

Days after Donald Trump’s stunning election victory, Michael Flynn phoned former CIA Director James Woolsey about taking another stint as head of the spy agency in the new administration, but then added a condition, Woolsey said.

Flynn said the CIA director “would be expected to report to him,” not the president, Woolsey told McClatchy in a phone interview. Woolsey, who led the CIA in the first two years of the Clinton administration, said he promptly rejected the offer because there are times that he would need to “call on the president face to face.”

"Robert Mueller, the special counsel investigating possible ties between the Trump election campaign and Russia, is expanding his probe to include a grand jury investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Federal prosecutors in Virginia are investigating a deal between Flynn and Turkish businessman Ekim Alptekin as part of a grand jury criminal probe, according to a subpoena.

The grand jury in Virginia has issued subpoenas to some of Flynn’s business associates involved in the work for Inovo, two people familiar with the probe say. The subpoena seen by Reuters seeks bank records, documents and communications related to Flynn, his company, Flynn Intel Group, Alptekin and Inovo."

Wonder where Flynn got the idea he could do whatever and not face consequences?

LOL

When Putin makes his denials, he always has such a wry, glib look on his face. He loves the fact that they did this and that nothing can happen to him over it.

He has to be amazed at what he pulled off. It's like playing the lottery even though you understand the odds. You know you'll probably lose, recognize there's a slight chance you might match 4 numbers, and only dream of hitting the jackpot. Putin hit the jackpot, with a little help from his friends.
