TrumPutinGate

Disagree with your characterization but agree it's nuts that Team Trump isn't worried about it. I suspect I know why.

Where's the proof that should warrant exceptional concern? The Russians have been trying to hack us for decades (along with a host of others), but it's only after Hillary loses the election that they're concerned about it?

These people also claim that "hacking the election" includes using legions of fake Russia-controlled Twitter users to circulating content generated at Macedonian "content farms". :whatever:

And since when has a prosecutor ever advocated for something to be legalized?

I'm not sure but how much time and money do you think we waste as a country prosecuting Americans for possessing a plant? Wouldn't that time and money be better spent preventing and prosecuting criminals that actually HARM others by robbing, murdering, and raping our fellow Americans?

Doesn't it make sense that he should be the one that realizes this and makes a positive step for our country?

Sessions has the long term memory of a 2 year old.

"I don't recall."
"I don't" remember."
"I don't recollect"
"I have no idea.

He sho' does love him some Bourne Identity though. I think we saw a bromance blossom between Cotton and Sessions.

This is all I could think of when I saw that happening.

Trump Pondered Firing Mueller; His Aides Pushed Back

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/13/...ller-special-counsel-trump.html?referer=&_r=0

"But behind the scenes, the president soon began entertaining the idea of firing Mr. Mueller even as his staff tried to discourage him from something they believed would turn a bad situation into a catastrophe, according to several people with direct knowledge of Mr. Trump’s interactions."

"Mr. Trump, angered by reports in Breitbart News and other conservative news media that Mr. Mueller was close to James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director he had fired, repeatedly brought up the political and legal implications of firing someone he viewed as incapable of an impartial investigation."

"In recent days, the president has told his staff, his visitors, and his outside advisers that he was increasingly convinced Mr. Mueller, like Mr. Comey, his successor as director of the F.B.I., was part of a “witch hunt” by partisans who wanted to see him weakened or forced from office. But Mr. Trump has made no decision to act against Mr. Mueller and insists he knows the risks of doing so — but people close to the president say Mr. Trump is so volatile they cannot be sure that he won’t change his mind if he finds out anything to lead him to believe the investigation has been compromised."

OK, this has got to be fake news. Trump can't be dumb enough to think he has a cunning plan to manage Mueller.

Or is he?

Maybe this has already been posted, but i haven't read the 7,000 posts....
But, so much is being made of this Trump-Putin Russia thingy. Alot of inferences. Alot of finger pointing. Much conjecture. conspiracies, etc. some republicans involved maybe, but mostly a demonstration of a true, and all too often, democrat witch hunt.

If you are on this Democrat witch hunt of a Trump-Russian love affair, have you not stopped to think of the hypocritical nature of the hunt????

Was it not Hillary Clinton, while Secretary of State, that approved the transfer of a large amount of URANIUM to the same said PUTIN REGIME of RUSSIA, while accepting well over $100 million in donations from investors to the Clinton Foundation.

If you are liberal, anti-Trump or whatever, so be it. It's your right to choose your political stance. But, don't be an idiot that grills a hot dog when their is a fat juicy steak marinated and intentionally overlooked in the fridge. Ya'll think Trump is an idiot. Atleast have some substance. Clinton and Obama both set the bar for idiocy & criminality that he likely won't attain. How soon the finger pointers brush aside their own to put the spot light on others.

In not a liberal but I know Clinton didn't sell Russia the uranium. The Committee on Foreign Investment did. Clinton was just a member of that committee. The committee is made of nine cabinet members and department heads. And Clinton didn't vote to authorize the transaction Assistant Secretary of State Jose Fernandez did. Also the uranium was never exported to Russia. The committee only approved the transfer of the uranium mining company Uranium One which was a Canadian company to Atomoredzoloto the Russian company

Trump is under investigation for obstruction of justice by special council.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/worl...e02506-5131-11e7-b064-828ba60fbb98_story.html

The move by Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III to investigate Trump’s own conduct marks a major turning point in the nearly year-old FBI investigation, which until recently focused on Russian meddling during the presidential campaign and on whether there was any coordination between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin. Investigators have also been looking for any evidence of possible financial crimes among Trump associates, officials said.

I am a liberal, but as Carlos pointed out, the whole uranium / $100 million story was an intentional lie by the far right that was repeated so many times on right wing sites and by Trump himself that you and many others believe it to be true.

This is the exact kind of information that caused so many to conclude "I don't like Trump, but I can't vote for Hillary."

Disinformation and fake news (which Russia participated in) was the difference maker in the election. I realize that a lot of you disagree with that assessment and that's to be expected.

I guess Mueller and his democrat lawyers owed CNN and MSNBC an out to not have to talk about Republican members of congress being shot
