I would imagine that if the two meet over lunch that Putin, as clever and disciplined as he is, would have 2 or 3 things to discuss and have prepared for them in depth.

Trump will want to talk about how hot the waitress is and why can't he get more ketchup.

This thread has gotten boring. What's Louise Mensch up to? Any immediate threat of arrests? Are the US Marshalls going to be waiting on the tarmac when Trump touches back down in the US?

The Trump approach now is to try to turn this all back on Clinton and Obama. Even this morning, when asked, Trump tried to make it sound like no big deal, but let's talk about Obama not doing anything (which is not true, by the way.)

It's clear they have polled their supporters and found out that all they have to do is keep them in the fold by just attacking Obama and Clinton.

This will work for awhile, with their own core group. But notice you aren't even seeing GOP on the Hill back this. They are getting the classified reports. They know how bad this is going to be. They are not backing him anymore.

There is a reason for that.

You're right. I am speculating about what they must be hearing in these briefings. But I consider it powerful evidence that something so extraordinary is coming that all of these GOP politicians are doing literally everything they can not to be seen with him and not to be connected to him.

You got another reasonable explanation for why they are all so oddly silent on this issue, and practically none defend him?
