TrumPutinGate

You're right. I am speculating about what they must be hearing in these briefings. But I consider it powerful evidence that something so extraordinary is coming that all of these GOP politicians are doing literally everything they can not to be seen with him and not to be connected to him.

You got another reasonable explanation for why they are all so oddly silent on this issue, and practically none defend him?

Maybe there is nothing there and they are just letting the dems carry on looking foolish like the folks here on VN.

Or it is true that there is not much difference in the 2 parties. They both hate the outsider in the WH. And they are happy to sit back and watch the swamp attack him.

Looks like Pelosi is the one people are distancing themselves from not Trump. She stares into space for minutes at a time but Trump is the one thats got mental issues. I hope they hang on to her for a while longer. No one believes the media or the democratic Party. They had the power, abused it, then scratch their heads and wonder why no one swallows their BS. Its over.

An attorney who refers to speculation as evidence... how did you ever pass the bar???

If congress was getting briefed on damning information it would have been leaked. It would be leaked to damage him and kill any momentum he might get, it would be leaked to stop him from doing anything. They are silent because there is nothing there.

So no, congress has no "damning" information on Trump, they would have used it if they did.

No one is asking them? There are no new developments?

All they are being asked about is health care.

It's amazing how you just make stuff up then use it as evidence to support some prediction.

I'm speculating about what they are hearing. The way they are acting is evidence it's pretty bad.

LG: Your Honor, this man is guilty and should be incarcerated.

The Judge: And what evidence do you have?

LG: It is clear by the way he is acting.

The Judge: bwwwahahahaha

Come to think of it; I haven't seen many D Congressional members talking about the collusion thing lately. Guess they've seen the evidence and know it didn't happen.

My guess is they're placing all their hopes on Mueller. Having it in the news every day as the "breaking news" will just make people bored with it. If nothing comes of Mueller's investigation regarding Trump collusion, then they'll want the story already down in the basement, long forgotten by the MSM, and never to be heard from again.

If Mueller does present information on Trump campaign collusion, then it will be fired up all over again with renewed vigor I'm sure.

I cannot recall seeing a party have control of both houses, have their president under investigation like this, and daily under scrutiny from the media... and the party do nothing to help him.

My bet is that the collusion stuff will fizzle completely. At best they may find some weak evidence between Russia and Manafort.

The investigation will result in some charges against some one. It has to. Given all the resources thrown at this something (likely a financial misdeed or lying under oath) will be found to justify the investigation.

Even today Trump couldn't admit that Russia--and Russia alone--hacked our election. He intentionally hedged and then lied about other countries "very likely" being involved. Lie. Just like his election illegal voting lie. Southern goofs keep on pretending that Trump is normal and that's there's nothing dubious about Trump's infatuation with Russia and the many meetings between Trump officials and Russians. He hired a //national security advisor// who was quite fond of the Russians--and got paid by a Russian organization--and tried to cover it all up. Trump's campaign manager, Manafort, was pretty thick with Russian contacts. Sessions lied to Congress when he said he hadn't met with Russians before the election. Kushner met with Russians immediately after the election. But this is all normal behavior for a president and his advisors, right? Get real. Trump wants to keep the flow of dirty Russian money--from cronies of Putin--to his real estate properties and deals. That is almost certainly what this is about. He knows Putin, with a word to his cronies, could stop the investments--and then Trump would be screwed because no legit banks want to deal with him anymore.

On another note, the NYTimes had a great tweet today showing how many times Trump has visited a Trump property since he got elected. At least once a week and sometimes twice. He's clearly determined to parley his presidency into more revenues /profits for himself and his companies. I THINK that is called conflict of interest and corruption--but perfectly OK with the Trump supporters, amirite? The real problem is CNN, right. Keep the moral blinders on, kids.

what should they be doing?

the opposition party has completely dropped the collusion narrative - you'd think if they were seeing all this damning information they'd be on the gas hard but instead they switched to a "not fit to serve" and "unpresidential" attack.

under oath when he testified to Congress that he had not met with any Russians. Turns out he had--damn, he forgot about it. Our Justice Dept. chief! The little racist gnome from Alybamy.

No matter the Russian investigation, Trump has shown in MANY ways that he's a corrupt, deeply dishonest man.
