It should be obvious if you look at the site for a minute but they have different database services for different kinds of customers, one of them being a news archive which one would use for the aforementioned search.

The amount of people who end up in prison for this is going to "make your head spin," to paraphrase Donny.

5, 10, perhaps even 15 years from now, we will still be watching people being arrested and charged on grounds related to 2016. The investigations will go on possibly for decades.

Lexis is not a source. As you say they collect data. Everything from personal info to news articles and court cases. They then create searchable databases. They are reputable for what they are... a searchable database.

Run a search on your gf. Everyone she has dated/slept with will be on that report.

I've used accurint which is the personal info database you are talking about. It's just a collection of prior addresses, employers, assets, relatives etc. It's mostly accurate. My objection is how current some of their info is. No info on sexual history though. Again, lexis isn't creating data, so it isn't incorrect. They just mine and assemble data in searchable databases.
