TrumPutinGate

Don't get me wrong, I'll never claim the GOP has Lilly white hands over anything and they are just as much to blame as the DNC for gridlock. However, something's got to give and the first party to give it a try will be the party that can hold the "moral high ground" for lack of a better term when it comes to the impasse we are currently under. Both look like the inside of a ten day old kitty litter box at the moment.

The Dems have offered to work on health care. They've been completely shut out. Now part of that is that it's bad enough the current Senate bill retains parts of Obamacare. But the reason the diehards don't want input from Dems is that it makes it look like the GOP was inept the whole time they ranted about repeal and replace.

Which they were.

It's really quite remarkable how pathetic it has become. They want to pass something, anything, to get that albatross from around their necks. And they are the ones that put it there to begin with.

I tend to hate agreeing with you, but...

You are correct in everything you said. Though I will note it's interesting how history repeats itself in regards to the GOP getting shut out when the roles were reversed.

It's time we had a national conversation on Russian adoptions.

LOL! If the only concession Russia is making in this "deal" to retrieve those two compounds used for intelligence gathering and the repeal of the Magnitsky Act is that they will now allow American adoptions of their orphaned children... Well, I would like to see someone defend this. This looks more and more suspicious every day.

The digging in of heels on both sides is why we are where we are. For a very long time in our history compromise was the name of the game in politics. I don't think any President received less cooperation from the other side than Obama did. (Trump may set a new standard though) Don't forget McConnell's number one objective was not the Nation. His stated priority from the get go was do do whatever it took to make Obama a one term president. And of course he received more of the same during his second term. I admit W Bush was treated pretty badly but he did get his tax cuts, wars and war cost appropriations through.

Sad, but I don't see anything changing any time soon on either side.

on certain issues, and treated him with due respect--until he started a war under false pretenses (meaning lied to the nation). As you say, McConnell and the Republicans made it clear from the very start of Obama's term that they would not cooperate with him on anything--and they held to that, despite the fact that Obama was a reasonable guy on most issues. Trump's positions/policies are so wrong-headed on most issues that he's not going to get cooperation from the Dems, but it's also a case of the Dems remembering how Obama was treated, AND they are appalled by Trump's coarse, vile personality and his lies. Who in their right mind would want to do ANYTHING to help this horrendous man stay in office?

And let's keep this in mind about Trump. He doesn't really give a $hit about anything except promoting the fallacious idea that he's a fantastic success and thus deserves reelection. That has been his primary goal since the election--not being president, not doing good things, just spouting his "success BS" for the dupes/dopes who voted for him in the first place. This is why he's already held at least half a dozen campaign events in the six months since the election. Who does that before they've even been president for a couple of years?

Trump is CONSUMED by a need to promote himself--he's been doing it all his adult life. You have heard the story of Trump posing as a spokesman for himself in the past when reporters called his office with questions. He gave himself a fake name and then spoke to reporters as a spokesman for Donald Trump, and then yammered stupidly about all the great things Trump was doing. This was quite a long time ago, and Trump even once admitted doing it--but when asked about it during the presidential campaign he denied it (what a surprise). Trump EXISTS to spout BS about how great and successful he is--when usually he is just the opposite. It's all about citizens being able to separate fact from fiction. In Trump's case, it is EASY to spot his many lies and false remarks--and yet the Trump crowd refuses to see. He would be a comic figure--except for the fact that he got elected president.

One more thing on this. Who do you think is more pissed? The Democrats about the GOP trying to get rid of Obama's signature legislation?

Or the millions of GOP voters who waited seven years for a repeal and replace and got absolutely **** for it? Seven years to come up with an air tight bill in both the House and Senate and all we got was a bunch of idiots with their thumb up their ass.

The Magnitsky Act is bad for business. Very bad.

Sadly the Trump administration can't repeal it.

Lmao.

You guys aren't going to believe this....

The libs and this Russian **** are done.

Some very interesting and damning things broke right after lunch today.

I'd settle for some proof one way or the other.

A hacker has leaked Intel emails of a top US State Department Russian
Affairs Official. Two years of emails include exchanges between
Intelligence agencies and Media outlets, NGO's and International Funds
that reveal a wide web of people responsible for agenda formation.
The emails have been verified to a large degree, and names,
Twitter accounts and news reports match up.

In a letter announcing the alleged hacking, Johnnie Walker said that the leak provides ample evidence for establishing the fact that there exists "agenda formation in many countries worldwide, especially where the situation is insecure."

The sender also reportedly claimed that the U.S. State Department official was in contact with various intelligence agencies, including the CIA, as well as "mainstream media, NGOs, and international funds."

www.business-standard.com...

In reading a few that were already sorted, we find CNN Repoorter
messaging with The Russian Lawyer Veselnitskaya, her translator
Samochornov messaging also. There are emails that mention Podesta,
Soros, lynch, Holder, Clinton and more names of those involved in Russian affairs.

Because this leak blows the Russian narrative wide open.

These emails are from 2014 to late 2016, but before Trump was even in the picture
