There's not a poster on this board that doesn't believe that Trump is a joke, corrupt on some level, more tied to Russia than he wishes to disclose, and unpresidential.

The consensus is....he's horrible but better than Clinton and he will accomplish nothing but he did make the supreme court more conservative.

As a different take - even if I believe Trump sucks it doesn't mean I have to believe some conspiracy theory about Russian collusion.

IOW - it's perfectly fine to criticize the insane accusations that some people have been posting here and the ridiculous obsession some here have of hoping something will be found (anything).

The bar couldn't be lower for the get Trump at any cost and by any means necessary people.

Interesting that a money laundering probe really has nothing to do with the original premise of this thread no? (collusion with Russia to win the election).

Many of us (GAVol included) have been pointing out the ridiculousness of attempt to find and believe anything to "prove" the collusion.

Many of us have also acknowledged that if you put enough investigative resources into this you find something but that something most likely won't be the original fantasy that started this thread.

I think the best advice to give Trump at this time would be to fire Mueller.

Reason?

Trump tends to act against the advice he's given. So, if you tell him it's best to fire him, he won't fire him and let the investigation play out. Reverse psychology and all.

Seriously though, at this point, it's best to let it play out.

Firing Mueller would not be extreme IMO although it would certainly create a media frenzy (what doesn't). The fact he hasn't recused himself due to his close friendship with Comey taints the entire investigation. Now he's looking at finances related to business dealings from 10+ years ago? Was Trump conspiring with Russians to hack the 2016 election then? He's clearly wandered outside the scope of this investigation
