I don't know if you did? I don't know if I ever claimed that you did? But many have, and many more will as the investigation continues and grows.
I'll be here to remind everyone of how it's worked in the past.
Yes. But if not, illegal financial dealings with Russia and lies to cover it up will be enough.
ends justify the means?
sure sounds like you are gunning for Trump regardless of what it takes.
FTR - I never thought Clinton should have been impeached. His perjury was in a civil case and while that deserved penalties it in no way rose to high crimes and misdemeanors for removal of an elected POTUS.
If they find something similar on Trump I stand by that standard.
If I decide to look for a post retirement job, I'll get it updated.
If he has a history of illegal financial dealings with Russia and has lied to cover it up, then of course he should be impeached...that has nothing to do with ends justifying the means.
But yes, in some extreme and rare instances, the end does justify the means. Getting Trump out of office? I don't think it will ever have to get to that point.
Retired ! Good for you man! That's great. I had my review with my boss today. Pissed her off for the second year in a row. She asked what my long term goal is. My answer was to retire as early as possible. She hates that.
what if those dealings were in the 90s? 80s? even 10 years ago?
also the "lied to cover it up" is very premature since he hasn't testified to Mueller or Comey or anyone else since this investigation began.
If there is Russian collusion then let's have it but trying to find financial misdeeds in his history that may involve Russia is the definition of a witch hunt.
That's a worthy goal. A better boss would see the wisdom in that answer. And no, I'm not retired, but I am in that comfortable position of being able to walk away any day I wish and being okay. (In a way that's even better than being retired - working because you want to and not because you have to is refreshing.)

The IRS? The federal elections commission ?
they asked about illegal financial dealings with Russia sometime over the last 30 years? Interesting.
We've had plenty of Congressional members who filed false tax returns, etc. - I don't recall any of them being forced out of their jobs as a result.
To be honest - if you did business in Russia (any business) in the 80s or 90s it be hard to say it was 100% clean and not in some way connected to the Russian government.
If we find massive fraud, I'll listen. If it's some violation from 10 years or more ago then I'll say GTFO as far as impeachment goes.
That's because you are rational and not foaming at the mouth like many are.
I do have to keep a handkerchief nearby at all times.
Granted, my bar of what would constitute an impeachable offense is set much lower than yours. Primarily because I desperately want Trump out of office ASAP for the good of human existence. The thing is, as has been stated ad nauseum throughout this thread, the house and senate are controlled by republicans. If they conclude that whatever misdeeds are found rise to the level of impeachment, I'm confident it will be justified. (Much more so than Clinton's impeachment - speaking of ad nauseum)
In other words you're putting your personal feelings above the overall welfare of the overwhelming majority of Americans who put Trump in office , John McCain says hello. And don't give me this BS retort about Hillary won the popular vote, Trump won 87% of the counties nationwide. There's no collusion on Trumps part however there's a shltload of evidence that Hillary and company did collude with the Russians. You guys really haven't learned a thing since the election.
