Congressional investigators say they unearthed the previously unreported email sent in June 2016 about the effort, the same month that Donald Trump Jr. set up a meeting with Jared Kushner, the President's son-in-law and top aide, and former campaign chairmen Paul Manafort and a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower.

Same month that Sessions had a meeting with Kislyak at the RNC.

You cant deny that there was an extensive effort to meet with Russians. Can you give a good reason for doing so?

Glenn Simpson, the co-founder of investigative firm Fusion GPS, met with staff of the Senate Judiciary Committee as part of the committee’s investigation into Russian meddling and potential collusion with the Trump campaign in the 2016 presidential election.

A committee spokesperson did not give Fox News any further information on the meeting with Simpson and Judiciary staff, though a source confirmed that Fusion GPS has given the Senate committee over 40,000 documents. Others who have agreed to private sessions on Capitol Hill include the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., and former campaign manager, Paul Manafort.

Yes, I can deny that there was "an extensive effort" to meet the Russians. It's more accurate to say there was an effort by others outside the campaign to get Trumps people to meet the Russians.

Please don't use anything from Fusion as a credible source in backing up these claims.

It didn't. There would have been little coming out regardless of the trump neo nazi story. Basically, just fortuitous timing.....plus, there are only so many hours in a news cycle.
