My concern is losing to him again by nominating someone who cannot capture some of the states key to a Trump victory. They need someone who can win the prior blue states, plus some combination of Penn, Ohio, Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin, etc.

Biden could do it, I believe. Some of the others mentioned above, no. For example i do not think Warren could get it done. Nor Booker.

Here's the thing. Even if you nominate someone to get out YOUR base, the likelihood is that you will thereby motivate THEIR base.

In the last election, as incompetent and obnoxious as Trump was, Clinton SUPER-motivated his base, to the point that people were voting for him simply to try to keep her out.

But this second time around, Trump has SUPER DUPER-motivated the Dem base, to the point that anyone reasonably competent should win. What they need to avoid is running someone who will keep the Trumpster fire going.

So, today ...

It has emerged that as Bannon testified to the House committee, his lawyer would go outside and call the WH and tell them what was asked. He then went back in to tell Bannon not to answer.

A couple of days ago, Lewandowski said that he would answer all questions. When he got there, however, he would not answer anything post-campaign.

When asked if he had spoken to Trump in the prior 24 hours? He refused to answer.
