"While some in the room rebuffed George's offer, Mr. Trump nodded with approval and deferred to Mr. Sessions who appeared to like the idea and stated that the campaign should look into it.

I don't think they quit as you suggest. I think they were no longer needed and were phased out over the summer after they tied up their contributions to the investigation.

So how about the other two people on the record that were in the room stating Sessions accounting of the events is correct? Papadopoulos is doubling down on his version of the story and pleading for a light sentence. Keep the dream alive though.

And based on yesterday’s Yuge and Bigly promises I guess this level of “meh” is a really big deal for you lefties.

He is in the 35% and anything left of that he has to attack like a fat kid at an all you can eat buffet. The 35% is disportionately represented in this forum but it makes him feel like somebody whose opinion about the other 2/3rd of the population is important.

The DOJ/FBI people specializing on Russia seeem to be getting all the flak from POTUS and his talking heads. It's suspicious to me.

But if someone subscribes to the "Deep State" conspiracies, then that's all they are ever going to see, because they must be the real colluders, because they're secretly working with Russia since they know Russian stuff.

I ain't buying it.

The big difference here is the Russian CONSPIRACY story hasn't finished writing itself. Comey, Strzok, Page, and McCabe have as big a chance of going to jail as FAU has of making a comeback.
