Nobody will take Cohen at his word with no corroborating information as actionable evidence and you know it. And you’re already laying the ground work for the buzzfeed/Cohen cross validation mantra you moonbats are going to claim.
May be in Dems interest to let this proceed slowly to ensure Trump defeat in 2020 (assuming the evidence warranting removal is strong) and make GOP senators run while officially supporting Trump still.
He will say whatever and all of these folks that are fully invested in the Russian collusion case will lap it up as gospel. Until there is another source I wouldn't put any weight in what he says. You mean you can’t fully believe a guy that will say anything to save his own butt. Surely he wouldn’t just tell the what they want to hear.
Does that mean we should or shouldn't believe trump when he says "no collusion."
No. No it really doesn’t depend on that at all. Nobody and I mean nobody will take Cohen’s word without corroborating evidence.
You are categorically wrong.
If Cohen provides compelling testimony and it matches the pattern of Trump's prior lies and efforts to obstruct, there will be plenty of people who will believe him over Trump. Including, I suspect, a lot of Republicans.
Especially those that see light at the end of the tunnel for Trump, and realize it is an oncoming train.
These are supposed lawyers.
1 -- Accusations are unproven.
2 -- Well then neither are his denials.
3 -- Refer to number one.
I try cases all the time where the evidence is testimony. Plaintiff and his witnesses say A, B,, C, the defense and its witnesses say no, it was X, Y, Z. The jury listens and decides which has the air of authenticity to it.
The same is possible here. Absolutely.
