Our Lady Vols traveled down to Chattanooga and embarrassed themselves tonight.

And the coaching staff evidently did not have a clue about what to do.

This game has taken away the high expectations I had for this year. The first half of the TSU game was very much the same.

There was no hustle; the defense was stuck in concrete; and they could not even hit layups.

The coaches apparently did not want to be there any more than the players because they certainly did not do anything to change a pitiful effort.

I watched online and totally agree, OP. I have never seen an LV team provide no help to on-ball defenders in the paint until tonight. It continued for the whole game and they had no answer. The first half offense was unbelievably bad. Wow. Overrated for sure.

All I can say is awful coaching and awful playing. The game really sucked, we didn't look like a final 25 team. I hope we beat Texas because their girls are bigger than we are.:dance::dance:

This result was the difference in a team coached by a Hall of Fame coach and a team coached by someone who should be coaching middle school.

Why did Moore only play 11 minutes? Makes no sense. How are you going to stop penetration if you don't have someone with some height/size in the paint to alter or block shots? Warlick apparently did not like Moore's play, which would be fine except the Vols lost. Massengale cannot defend a good guard who likes to drive the ball. Carter can. Sounds like the team simply wasn't much interested in this game the night before Thanksgiving.

One thing that I have noticed over the past few years is that no one, with the exception of Harrison, has gotten any better over their career! If anything, it seems like a number of them have regressed ie. Massengale, Jones. Moore may have improved, but not sold on that since she was playing against nobody's.

I think Moore's problem is that she weighs about a buck twenty. You can have players like that and use them strategically. But you can't depend on them being helpful in every game. Bigger posts will simply punish them.

People wonder what it will be like being short of post players. Well, they saw it tonight. You aren't going to win that way.

Moore wasn't given a chance tonight. She has outplayed everybody on the team but Holly wouldn't play her tonight. Just doesn't make sense. I know her earlier games were against weaker competition but she still played better than everybody else. The lineups tonight were horrid.

Clearly most of tonight's problems were mental, because we're capable of playing much better. I would guess the flat, nearly disinterested play was partly because this was the night before a holiday and the players' minds were elsewhere. I'm not sure why anyone thought this was a good night to schedule a game

This loss hurts. I always try to look for the good in negative situations, but this loss stings. I really thought this team improved from last season, but the same things are happening. I just don't get it. We have all this talent and keep underperforming! Unless things changes, I just don't see this team making the Final Four. Its so frustrating, we have all this talent and get defeated by an unranked team. I have said for years that our half-court offense is terrible! This makes me scared to watch the Texas game Sunday.

We went the last time they were here as we live in Chattanooga. My wife said we weren't allowed to come back.

Our half court offense is terrible because it takes good coaching to be successful in the half court game. Why do you think Coach Foster planned to slow the game down? He knew he could out coach Holly in a half court game and possibly come away with a win. And he was right.

UTC was playing the night before a holiday too. It wasn't a good night; wonder who scheduled it? But still, no excuse.
