Trying to Ruin Running Through the "T"!

Every single game, like LSU, the opposing team intentionally runs out while we are running through the "T"!
This is really pi**ing me off and everyone is doing it. Even the commentators mentioned it as a "surprise". I believe we should respect each others traditions. I wouldnt want TN to do this to other teams. Its part of what make college football great! However if they dont stop then we should do the same. Run onto the field as soon as they start running out!

Have I just not noticed before? I dont think so, DD needs to address this.

What I noticed is that they only showed about 3 seconds of them running out, and it was before they even got to the "T". I think every broadcast should show home team coming out. Good team or not, I do not know why opposing team should not come out separate. EDIT: I was referring to the Georgia game when they only showed 3 seconds, I did not get to see the first half of the LSU game.

exactly.

And further:

the booing when the Pride of the Southland did its usual playing of the opponents' fight song, which it has always done as a means of showing the southern hospitality it has always held as a tradition....just embarrassing, seriously

I always find the booing of the other team's fight song ironic and wish we wouldn't do it... It's right after Bobby says that we'd like to welcome the opposing team to Neyland.

I went to UT in the 80s and opposing teams have done it since I can remember. They do it because the crowd can't boo them while cheering the run through the T.

I think everybody should be given two M 80s at the gate and light them and throw them at the opposing team when they disrespect the Vols entrance.

most teams come out a little after we do. UFoftheWest timed it to come out at exactly the same time we did, as the T opened. might have been dumb luck, but i thought it low class.

i can't stand ND, but when they came in 90 ranked #1 they had a protocol, one being that they took the field when we specified (which was after we came out). classy.

what was even lower class to me was UFoftheWest playing their starters to the end.

Dooley calling another coach and asking this would be weakness. Hopefully next yr we will be able to do something about it on the field. Let's send the message like grown men. This happens everywhere. The visiting teams does this just to piss off the home team. It's called the art of war. Spurrier invented it in the early 90's.

i'm pretty sure Sun Tzu invented it like 2,500 years ago.

As my UGA buddy said at the game last week . . . "Neyland Stadium is the only place on earth where you can get 100,000 people in unison to woo, boo and spell stuff on command."

Nah north korea has us beat.

You think they can move the ball on us?

I think I'm more concerned about moving the ball on them. Their biggest 120 pounders will be up front, and I just don't think we have what it takes to push them back.

There ya go.....

I think y'all are giving some of the opponents way too much credit. Les Miles can barely form coherent sentences in his interviews.

I think you just haven't noticed it before. It has been going on since I've been attending games regularly which began back in the early 90s. I've seen it right before us, right after we start, and at the same time; but the common theme is trying to disrupt the T and/or avoid the boo birds when they come onto the field. I seem to notice it more in big games.

Smokey tore his ACL. He's not doing any running right now. Even the dog is injuried, like half the team and their pride.

I noticed smokey limping during the Cinci game when I was in section M. It's not the same with Smokey not running through the "T" getting chased down by the VOLS in orange.

Warn the other team in advance to respect our home and our traditions or suffer the consequences. Put State Troopers in between; they disobey them, they leave in cuffs. Put em on clear notice in advance then let them make their own choices.
