John Rainey on Sports 56 in Memphis said sources that he trust say that Arkansas will announce tomorrow that Tommy Tubberville will be their new HFC for alot of dough. Auburn apparently doesn't care because they want Petreino badly. Just what I heard today.

Tubberville just signed a contract extension with AU.....He requested a indoor training facility and rasies for his AC's...He isnt going to the Hogs...

No but name is Thomas and I do like Tennessee football a whole bunch. I hear that guy on the radio alot and see him post here sometimes.

No way, why the heck would he go from Aub to Ark? At best its a lateral move, honestly, I think its a slightly downward move.

The SEC west is trying to match the wackiness of the regular season in the off season. Can you imagine Nutt to Ole Miss, Tubbs to Arkansas, and Saban to LSU?

It doesn't sound right to me either. Apparently they say that he has always wanted the Ark job but was passed over years ago. They were comparing it to an old girlfriend that dumped you but years later wants you back. Do you go? No unless she still looks good and has lots of money!

The Auburn extension was reported on ESPN early yesterday and then pulled last night. Yesterday's story is now back online. I don't think anyone knows for sure. It's November madness with the rumors.

Various outlets today are saying he hasn't signed and there are significant contract issues. Tubbs has gone on a hunting trip and won't return until Saturday.

This is ONE of the reasons the SEC is the best conference in the country. Pure entertainment.

Tubs had an agreement to go to Tx A&M for a $2M buyout. The buyout was set by AU based on Petrino coming. He called and said "NO." They then upped the buyout to $6M (which A&M won't pay). So Tubs is still at AU.
Now ARK will offer some BIG $ to get him. The Waltons say "no problem." They will pay whatever it takes to get him.
Wait and see.

This sounds crazy to me but after Ole Miss out bid Ga Tech for Nutt, I guess nothing should surprise anymore about coaches.
